means of diagnosing mental problems. Initially, this was perceived rather skeptically, but after a while I managed to prove that astrology can be an effective diagnostic tool.

A cardinal turn in the activities of the group and in my astrological experience took place in 1993-1994, when the group empirically came to the possibility of studying such an unusual transpersonal phenomenon as the memory of past reincarnations. Although this was a side effect of our activities, it aroused mass enthusiasm, and over the next three years (during the transit of Pluto through Ophiuchus, as I understood much later), a unified methodology for working with the memory of past incarnations was worked out and refined on the program participants. The situation was unique, for the first time after many centuries it became possible only in the last third of the 20th century. Later, I learned that over these decades, dozens of research projects were formed in the world that created reincarnation therapy. Several factors coincided at the same time: a developed methodology for working with deep unconscious; a mixture of completely different religious and philosophical systems in our territory, which gave a large number of open-minded people from completely different social strata; a tolerant (or rather, indifferent) society to our research, which did not persecute us for heresy or for deviation from the Only Correct Teaching; the developed computing apparatus of astrology, which made it possible to build horoscopes of a very distant past; and, finally, computers, without which all this work simply could not be done. It can be confidently asserted that such astrological research in such a short time would have been impossible not only in the first half of the 20th century, but in general in the foreseeable past. I was just lucky. I received a huge amount of absolutely unique, statistically substantiated and indirectly verified information. It was a situation that any researcher could dream of, and I tried to realize it. But the work was difficult and very time consuming.

First of all, I encountered a culture shock, and from an unexpected side. From my own. Firstly, it is difficult to accept something like this right away, but it is also difficult to argue with facts that go beyond the usual picture of the world. These are small reliable historical details, many of which we managed to find confirmation, this is a new look at historical events or conditions, and skills or habits restored from karmic memory, and most importantly, the correspondence of horoscopes of past incarnations to the described persons or events.

Secondly, the work on remembering was carried out in altered states of consciousness, and, perhaps, because of this, it was easy to remember mostly "right-hemispheric" that is, analog information - visual pictures, whole groups of skills, specific sensations. However, symbolic knowledge (names, titles, language) remained unreliable and ambiguous. Very significant and radical changes took place with the current personality, up to serious positive shifts in long-standing complexes and phobias. With the help of diagnostic complexes of the medical laboratory of the Kharkov Aviation Institute, many cases of spontaneous healing effects have been documented.

At that time I was the only astrologer in team, and astrological falsification on the part of the participants was practically excluded. I did not always personally know the people whose data and descriptions I received for work. In turn, they also did not know why they were giving this information, as well as who would work with it and how. It became even more difficult for me to argue with my own experience when it finally appeared. But my main problem was that the literature on the so-called "karmic astrology" turned out to be completely unsatisfactory or purely theoretical, divorced from the real mass experimental data that I dealt with as part of a research project.

In 1997, after the group changed its focus and significantly updated its composition, I continued independent work in the same direction in my own groups and in personal practice, systematized the information received, searched for suitable descriptions in the literature. Moreover, by that time a lot of good translated literature had appeared, which was previously inaccessible. So, for example, I learned that we (as you might expect) have "reinvented the wheel" in some things. Suffice it, for example, to mention the discoveries of Thorvald Detlefsen, one of the founders of reincarnation therapy, or the experience of the remarkable practitioner Denise Lynn. The obtained results, descriptions and conclusions coincided with ours to the smallest detail, which could not but instill hope in the correctness of the methodology and the reliability of the results. But with the literature on karmic astrology, everything was more complicated - each time I opened a new book, article or file with the anticipation that, finally, I had something valuable in my hands that would help me in my practice. And he received only fragments of applicable knowledge among the mass of random, and even false layers. Of course, I was interested in practical results, in effective and fast diagnostics, and not in many years of independent research ... But it did not work out the easy way.

As a result, a significant part of what is called "karmic astrology" received an expanded interpretation on an experimental foundation, a lot was filled with details and nuances. Completely new, experimentally discovered regularities were revealed, which were not at all described in the literature. And, finally, some of the established "dogmas" do not found its confirmation in the experiment (or requires a larger statistical base).

On the scientific side of the results of these studies, in 2001 I defended my Ph.D. thesis in the field of social philosophy on the topic "Actualization of individuality as a socio-philosophical problem." Of course, the format of the official scientific work demanded that all references to astrology and the mystical tradition be removed from the text.

In 2004, the astrological side of my research was published for the first time. Starting this year, the material has become open for publication and discussion. In particular, specialized astrological seminars were held on this topic in Kharkov, Odessa, and Chisinau. And, as is usually the case, the training was two-way. I stated my vision of the problem, and the participants of the seminars shared with me valuable information, their own unique experience. With their ideas, questions and memories, they helped me check and polish the model. So it was possible to bring to a form suitable for publication what was already a working and practical system. And I always apologized for the fact that not all of us have time to discuss, that a lot of interesting things remain outside the time-limited trainings and are not even included in the plan, and promised that all this would one day be systematized and published in a detailed printed publication. I keep my promise.

For an astrologer, it is quite obvious that people are not initially equal among themselves. And therefore, as long as natal astrology exists, there is as much a need to understand and explain the causes of this phenomenon. This is how, over time, the name "karmic astrology" appeared. However, it is necessary to clearly understand what kind of karma we are talking about and what is meant by this in order to avoid confusion. To understand the essence of the problem, compare the understanding of the concept of "karma" in orthodox Hinduism, in Buddhism, in the writings of Blavatsky and the Roerichs, or, for example, in the writings of Lazarev. You will be quite surprised and puzzled. You can take my word for it or check it out for yourself - there are even greater discrepancies and chaos in the literature on karmic astrology.

In the history of culture there are several versions of the reincarnation of the soul. The very word "karma" comes from the philosophy of Hinduism and means literally "work", "action". Karma is nothing but the law of cause and effect, understood, however, as broadly as possible. On the one hand, the cause can be not only actions, but also thoughts and desires. On the other hand, the law of cause and effect is not limited to one human existence, but stretches into a long chain of interconnected incarnations (samsara).

The idea of ​​reincarnation is not at all "oriental exotic", as it may seem. In addition to Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, it existed with various variations in almost all highly developed cultures. So, for example, the ancient Greeks had the doctrine of metempsychosis. Many peoples of the ancient Slavs had faith in reincarnation, of course, before the advent of Christianity. And in Christianity itself, the idea of ​​​​reincarnation was not deleted at all immediately. Its supporter was such a legendary Christian teacher as Origen, who received the title of "presbyter" for his special role as a teacher. 300 years after his death, there was an ideological struggle with the idea of ​​reincarnation, which ended with Origen being anathematized, and his ideas deleted from the official church ideology. However, there are some very remarkable dialogues in the Holy Scriptures (for example: from Matthew, 17:10-13 or from Luke, 9:18-19).
