Everything you need to know about astrology. Joanna Woolfolk

Everything you need to know about astrology. Joanna Woolfolk.

About this book.
Before you - the first book on astrology, which will allow you to independently create a personal horoscope and use it for many years to better understand and predict your capabilities.
Here factors are explained in detail, almost not considered in most astrological publications, namely: the influence of the Moon, the "rising sign", the planets, the significance of the twelve houses.
Everyone can use this book - simplified tables are compiled in such a way that in most cases it is enough to attach a ruler to your date of birth.
"We were born at a certain moment
in a certain place and carry
the seal of their influence as the years
the aging determines the bouquet of a fine wine."
Carl Gustav Jung
Special thanks to.
I would like to thank Caple McCutchen, a brilliant astrologer, who compiled for this book unique, universal and extremely convenient tables of planets and ascendants. To read the information relating to you, you will only need to attach a ruler to the corresponding line. These tables are absolutely accurate and refer to American time, not Greenwich Mean Time.
Caple McCutchen is a renowned teacher, consultant, and lecturer, and founder and former president of the Connecticut Astrological Society. He currently runs his own company, the Astrological Bureau (Weatherfield, Connecticut), which uses modern computer technology to expand our knowledge of astrology.

Foreword by Charles Jane.
It is with great pleasure that I write the foreword to this book because Joanna Woolfolk is a highly qualified astrologer.
This circumstance seems to be extremely important in an era when a huge interest in astrology is exploited by people who have very little idea about it. Having devoted fifty years of my life to astrology, I say this with conviction.
Addressing his book to a wide range of readers who want to expand their knowledge of astrology, the author says everything you need in a simple and clear language. Joanna Woolfolk is not only a competent astrologer, but also talented writer. She presents complex material in such a way that it becomes understandable and accessible to everyone.
Those of you whose acquaintance with astrology is limited to reading forecasts in the newspapers are unaware of the extreme complexity of this science. This book will open your eyes to many things. I think we are lucky that she came out.
Mrs Woolfolk has created a helpful guide that is a breeze to read. I think it will be useful to more than one generation of people interested in astrology.
I sincerely confess: I envy those who are waiting for this exciting journey through the boundless ocean of knowledge and discoveries.
Embark on this journey without fear.
Your captain knows the right course.
Charles Jane, the famous astrologer, writer and lecturer, headed the Union of American Astrologers in one958 - one960. In one979, he was awarded the annual Jondro Prize for his significant contribution to the technical development of astrology. In one98one, the National Astrological Society awarded him the Mark Edmund Jones Award. Mr. Jane's writings are dedicated to the unification of astrology and modern science. He is considered an innovative thinker. His death in one985 was a great loss for the entire astrological world.

Introduction.
Astrology is first and foremost the science of you. It illuminates the path to the depths of the individual. Astrologers say that you can go through life not blindly, leading your destiny within certain limits and achieving a better understanding of your personality.
An amazing feature of stellar science is its constant renewal. For many centuries, philosophers, mystics and spiritual shepherds comprehended the secrets of astrology, thought and wrote about it. This ancient field of knowledge is also of interest to our generation. According to a Gallup pollone, 29 percent of American adults believe that the location of celestial bodies affects their lives. The vast majority of newspapers and magazines published in the United States publish astrological columns. The course of astrology is included in the curricula of more than a dozen American universities.

However, despite this surge of interest, the general public is only superficially familiar with the subject under discussion. When asked about the attitude to astrology, one can most often hear: "It interests me, but I know little about it."

If you regularly read horoscopes and the occasional astrology book means you really want to know more about yourself and your life. I get emails from people all the time with questions like, "Which kind of man should I be looking for?" or "The woman I'm dating was born under the sign of Gemini. Will we be happy?"

When trying to expand their knowledge of astrology, people often encounter the fact that most books are devoted to only one side of this subject. There are many publications about the signs of the zodiac. You can find a lot of printed materials about the Moon in signs. If you want to know your birth chart, you will find books on this subject (although they are less common).

Recently, in a conversation with a friend, I casually noticed that in my birth chart, three planets are in the constellation of Taurus. "Oh," she said, "can you tell me where my three planets are?" She didn't know that there are ten planets in every person's birth chart.

Where could she find out about this? In most astrological books, birth charts are not discussed. To get this information, you need to rummage through the volumes stored on the back shelves of bookstores or in special libraries. Every book on astrology tells you what zodiac sign you were born under. But what's next?

This book will tell you everything you need to know about astrology in general. You will learn about the signs of the Sun, as well as the signs of the Moon, ascendants, planets and houses. You will understand how the interaction of these factors determines your life. You will also read about how astrology was born and developed. I will introduce you to a method that allows you to build your personal birth chart in five minutes. You will discover the role of aspects in your horoscope, learn how to compare your birth chart with a similar card of another person, and establish areas of compatibility.

However, I want to warn you: this book is not an encyclopedia. It lacks complex mathematical methods for constructing horoscopes. It also does not contain all the astrological wisdom accumulated over the past 5,000 years. Even a volume twenty times thicker than the present would not have coped with such a task.

Before you - an affordable universal manual that reveals the content of astrology. If you want to know where the planets are in your birth chart, how compatible is your zodiac sign with the sign of your lover or how the moon affects your life, you will find all this here, in one edition.

But I hope that this book will only be the beginning of your search. You can devote your whole life to studying the countless aspects of this ever-evolving and renewing science.

I believe you picked up this monograph because you are interested in astrology. Together with you, we will delve deeper into an exciting, vast and complex field of knowledge. I hope that my work will not be the only one you want to get acquainted with, but the only one that you will need.

ASTROLOGY OF THE SUN SIGNS

CHAPTER FIRST

THE SUN IN THE ZODIAC SIGNS

When a man says to an attractive woman at a party, "I'm a Leo. What sign were you born under?", he's not just acting out a dating debut (acting in the spirit of Leo), he's also talking about the signs of the zodiac.

What is a zodiac sign?

From the point of view of an observer located on Earth, the Sun goes around our planet in a circle in a year, spending about a month in the region of each of the signs of the zodiac. The sign in which the Sun was on the day you were born is called your zodiac sign.

The sun is our most powerful planet. (In astrology, the Sun is considered a planet, although in fact it is a "luminary".) It gives us life, heat, energy, food, ensures our existence. Also, the Sun has the strongest and most important influence on your horoscope, determines how other people see you. The position of the Sun in your birth chart determines your personality, unique style and determination in relation to life's tasks.

The horoscope is your portrait. The characteristics of your zodiac sign are the large strokes that the artist puts on the canvas. The portrait painter displays your figure, facial features, posture. In the same way, your zodiac sign describes your character as a whole. Are you introspective? Is it easy to make friends? How responsible are you? Are you tight or loose? Perhaps you will find the answers to these questions by studying the characteristics of your zodiac sign.

However, astrologers often hear statements like this: "I'm Capricorn, but the characterization of this sign does not describe me very accurately."

Remember that the zodiac sign is only the basis of your portrait, the most large strokes. Your birth chart has the Moon in it, probably in a different sign than the Sun. In addition, there are planets in the birth chart, each of which is located in its own sign.

You have a complex and unique combination of different properties that makes you different from all other people. Any attempt to give an accurate description by the sign of
