Dermatitis – treatment with folk remedies

Dermatitis – treatment with folk remedies. Dermatitis is an inflammatory process of the skin that occurs as a result of direct exposure to various environmental agents: mechanical, physical factors, chemicals of plant and animal origin, and allergic irritants. In any case of dermatitis, when thinking about treatment, you must first take into account the traumatic irritant and only then take on therapeutic measures.

Allergic dermatosis (dermatitis) is the general name for inflammatory skin diseases that occur when the immune system does not adequately respond to various factors. The main forms of allergic dermatoses are allergic contact dermatitis and atopic dermatitis.

Allergic contact dermatitis occurs only after direct skin contact with an allergen to which a person is sensitive. These can be metals in the composition of jewelry, dyes for hair, eyebrows and eyelashes, substances used in dentistry, components of varnishes, etc. Also, contact dermatitis can be caused by washing powders and other detergents, synthetic fabrics, perfumes.

Interestingly, even squeezing a coin in your hand can cause a skin reaction. For example, there were cases when a skin rash appeared from banknotes in denominations of one or two euros. The allergy in this case was caused by the presence of nickel in these coins. This metal often provokes allergies. As a rule, changes on the skin appear 2-3 days after contact with the allergen, and first of all they are observed precisely at the point of contact (for example, a strip of reddened skin with clear outlines under the watch strap indicates contact dermatitis), but over time they can spread over wider areas. In this case, they can also affect the general well-being of a person (body temperature rises, weakness appears).

Contact dermatitis is manifested by severe swelling, redness of the skin and fluid-filled vesicles of various sizes. If these bubbles burst, in their place shallow skin defects are formed – erosion, on the surface of which fluid is constantly released. Then the inflammation gradually disappears, weeping erosions disappear, on crusts or scales remain in their place. Such violations heal, as a rule, without scars.

Atopic dermatitis is caused by hereditary predisposition to allergic diseases. Its development is promoted by stress, endocrine pathology, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver, chronic infectious and other diseases that weaken the immune system.
Skin lesions in this disease can occur not only through direct contact with the allergen. Atopic dermatitis can be caused by food, pollen, animal dander, and household chemicals. Symptoms of the disease are severely itchy and flaky bright red spots on the face, hands, etc. Start treating dermatitis by identifying allergens and eliminating them. Also treat comorbidities.

How to cure contact dermatitis?
Find out the allergen and eliminate its effect. Allergological skin tests can be done to confirm the guesswork about the cause of contact dermatitis.
Apply ointments to quickly relieve symptoms. But do not forget that no matter how good the external remedy is, it only relieves the signs of the disease that have already appeared, without eliminating the causes of the allergic process.
In everyday life, be careful and moderately careful.
Choose household chemicals and cosmetics with the simplest composition. The fewer components, the lower the risk of allergies.
