About the use of aerobics with toddlers

The need to be healthy is a basic human need. It is provided in society by constitutional law. In the concept of modernization of Russian education for the period up to 2010, the problem of protecting and promoting health is highlighted as a priority. As a strategic goal of the modernization of education, an orientation towards health-saving technologies, education of the need to preserve and ensure health as a value is determined.

Currently, there are numerous data indicating the presence of disappointing trends in the health of the younger generation. Medical examinations show that already at preschool age, about 28% of children have various pathologies and deviations in health. The need to find effective ways to improve the health of the child is of paramount social importance, since more than 50% of the child population is brought up in preschool educational institutions.

In the materials of the All-Russian meeting “Ways to optimize the health and physical development of children in preschool educational institutions” it is noted that the main task of the preschool educational institution is to develop in children a reasonable attitude towards their body, learning to lead a healthy lifestyle from early childhood.

Recently, it has become noticeable in the preschool educational institution that children do not strive for physical activity, do not want to do gymnastics. One of the reasons for the lack of interest in movement is that children are often offered the same types of running, walking, general developmental exercises in morning exercises. The second reason for the lack of interest in doing morning exercises is low physical activity, not enough physical activity, which does not allow younger preschoolers to satisfy their need for movement. Today we need a multifunctional system that includes the development of all the physical qualities of a person, intellectual and spiritual development, education of character, self-confidence. It is necessary that this system has a significant health-improving potential that ensures the harmonious development of the individual. Health-improving aerobics belongs to such a multifunctional system.
