Beetroot and herring puffs

For the recipe you will need:
puff pastry (yeast-free) – 500g
beets (boiled) – 300g
sour cream or mayonnaise – 2-3 tbsp.
herring (fillet) – 2-4 pieces
salt – to taste.
To cook Puffs with beetroot filling and herring, you need:

Cut thawed puff pastry sheets into rectangles. Make shallow cuts around the perimeter of each rectangle with a knife, stepping back from the edge. Put the pieces of dough on a baking sheet covered with parchment and place in a preheated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 200C until golden brown.

Cool the finished puffs completely. With the tip of a knife, deepen the cuts on each puff and remove the “lids”.

Finely grate the boiled beets. After adding sour cream and salt, mix the stuffing. Put a little beet mass in each puff, put a piece of herring on top. Serve ready-made puffs with beets and herring.
