Kum Nye Relaxation. Tartang Tulku

mind in all our activities, we give priority to intellectual achievements through the senses or our physical body through the richness of inner sensations.
When we hold back our feelings and sensations, we forgo their help in maintaining our health and happiness. The sphere of sensations may react to this narrowing and gently push us to open up, but our rational mind keeps subtle sensory sensations in check, so we may not even hear their call. Striving for satisfaction, we begin to look for it outside ourselves, tirelessly changing the sources of pleasure, as if it is not enough for us. We are seized with the idea that satisfaction will come from without, if only a good watch, work or play. We are drawn into exciting activities that seem to stimulate the mind and senses but make us want more. The faster we run, the more we move away from the true satisfaction that remains inside, outside the door of our senses.
Instead of simply opening this door, we can turn to drugs such as alcohol or hallucinogens. We can even enter the spiritual path, hoping to finally be truly satisfied, but even there we find only the same dissatisfaction. We are constantly wasting energy in rushing from one experience to another, from one thought to another. We dream about what we want or remember what happened before; we make plans. Immersed in dreams, we briefly experience pleasure or a rich sensation, but do not have time to taste their fullness - they elude us somehow.
We can try to regain a sense of wholeness by "owning" a family or property, thus trying to take control of both nature and our lives. But such control is artificial, it goes against the laws of nature and the cycles that govern our body and mind, as well as the world around us. We withdraw into ourselves and become dissatisfied. Not realizing that the cause of everything can be a lack of our own balance, we find ourselves in unhealthy situations, wondering how we got into them.
Finally, we may come to the conclusion that we are unable to perceive the world as it is, or to open up to deeper levels of experience. We do not realize that our sense organs have become hardened like elephant skin due to their neglect, thus reducing the intensity of our sensations. Until we soften this "roughness" by developing the natural energies of our feelings and sensations, we will not be able to open ourselves to the fullness of the field of experience.
If we really know this*, we can become part of the natural flow of the universe, realizing that we are dependent on nature, and that nature—in fact, the entire universe—is dependent on us. The world will be balanced if we are balanced. We are naturally connected to the world: the elements that make up the universe are present in each of us. We carry this ancient lineage in our body, and we are reflected in our family, our community, and our planet. Every action we take, no matter how small was, affects the entire universe, just like every single wave affects the shore.
We are engaged in infinitely complex, intertwining relationships with all the various levels of existence, from the subatomic to the cosmic. Like other systems in the universe, we are a complete whole in itself and at the same time we are composed of a large number of smaller subsystems that are interconnected and connected to the whole. In addition to the numerous systems that make up the physical body - skeletal, muscular, nervous, etc. - there is a psychological or emotional system, as well as other subtle energy systems. The smooth operation of each of these systems depends on the operation of every other system of the body, while the state of the whole, which we call "human being", is closely related to the state of the environment.
Our immediate environment is also connected to other elements of the earth's environment, and the earth is influenced by events taking place in the remote corners of the universe. We are influenced by numerous forces, some of which we barely perceive or are aware of, and our actions and thoughts affect other systems, including the microscopic worlds within our body.
If we realize this interdependence, we will understand the importance of achieving harmony within ourselves. We learn that we ourselves contain the resources necessary for our balance and happiness, since our body and mind are the means of our knowledge and growth.
By slowing down, relaxing and gently opening the senses, we can learn to develop these resources; then we will find that we can heal our body and mind through the feeling through the physical body. By reducing chronic muscle and mind tightness, we will increase our sensitivity to the subtle qualities of feeling and embody them in an energetic and fresh experience, enriching them so that they begin to grow like strong shoots.
As all of our mental and physical energies come alive and begin to integrate, these sensations become more fruitful and nourishing than ordinary sensations. Their nourishing power frees us from the vibrating turmoil of racing thoughts and desire for the unattainable. We discover a naturally alert and fluid state of body, mind and energy, and we are now able to find satisfaction in ourselves. As our body and mind become kind friends, our muscles also work well together without superficial muscle tension. We have the power of concentration necessary for the fullness of experience. Then our relations become rich, deep and harmonious, and not competitive, since we treat others more attentively - as if we were ourselves.
In Kum Nye, there are various ways to stimulate the flow of feelings and energy that integrates body and mind, including both stillness and movement. We begin by developing calmness of body, breath and mind. Just sitting quietly and relaxing gives us the opportunity to experience feelings that we are not normally aware of. This relaxation is then subtly reinforced by breathing through the nose and mouth simultaneously, so soft and even that we can hardly feel the inhalation and exhalation; this method of breathing allows us to get in touch with the positive life force of the throat center.
When the breath becomes calm and quiet, fewer distracting thoughts and images pass through the mind and the whole body comes to life. Our mental and physical energy is refreshed and pacified, like a clear forest pond. We discover a quality of feeling that is common to body, breath, and mind—a quality of peace, clarity, and deepness that calms and “massages” us deep within. As you further relax, a more subtle level of this feeling opens up, which acts as a lens that gathers more "light" or energy and creates more complete "pictures" of the experience.
To further explore the qualities of this relaxation, we add self-massage and movement exercise "massage" to sitting and breathing. We usually think that massage is something that someone else does for us, but the body can massage itself. Massage can be applied to our feelings and sensations and in general to our entire internal structure, as well as to our external form. In the process of massage, subtle feeling-tones or energies fill our entire being and soothe it, integrating the mental and physical, connecting feeling with form. They are like a pulsating, agitated breath that enters us, emanates from us, and envelops us. We can learn to heal ourselves from within with these energies and channel them outward, harmonizing all aspects of our being. We can create an inner sun that radiates feelings, and it will warm us and illuminate everything around us.
If a in the beginning we stimulate the massage by physical means - by breathing, pressing and rubbing the body, making slow movements in a certain way, or by voluntary tension and relaxation, - later we will be able to massage through feeling-tones alone. As relaxation deepens, we begin to directly feel the relationship between the breath, the senses, the body, and the mind. In the realm of sensations, new channels and dimensions are opened, causing joyful feelings, which can be expanded and accumulated until we perceive nothing in the world but these feelings. Each cell is nourished and saturated with positive feelings of completeness and completeness. We absorb these wonderful feelings even into the space between the muscles and tissues.
When we make full use of our senses, every part of the body is charged with pulsating life and health—we are fully awakened mentally and emotionally. We find that we are able to experience the ecstasy of beauty at every moment, as if we were constantly hearing beautiful music or contemplating the most wonderful works of art. We are even able to heal ourselves, as relaxation enhances the feeling-tone, which in itself becomes a self-sustaining massage, a self-nourishing system that can be further expanded and developed. This is the Kum Nye massage.
The deeper and richer our experience of this self-acting massage becomes, the more easily it occurs naturally, filling with life all the senses, sensations and activities of everyday life. Expanding in space and time, subtle feeling-tones, or energies, activate the massage inside and outside of our body, harmonizing the surrounding levels of existence. The feeling of love or the joy of fun expands gently beyond the body and floats through space and time like slowly falling snow. All our sensations are extended in a subtle way, increasing pleasure.
When we look, we lightly focus on the subject, feeling some feeling through its shape. By using our vision in this way, we are causing an ecstatic
