Ayurveda Tips

Try to make the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda a part of your life, and you will see how everything around is changing for the better!

Woke up? Stretch as you should, imagine a vivid picture of a good day that awaits you today, and sit up in bed with your spine straight. Analyze your condition: is there any discontent or apathy, do all organs feel normal. A short morning briefing with you will allow you to assess the state of the doshas for today and build a diet in such a way as to bring Kapha, Pitta and Vata into balance.

The simplest and most effective harmonizing exercise you can do right in bed. While sitting straight, close your right nostril with your index finger and inhale through the left. Holding your breath, move your finger to the left nostril and exhale with the right. Repeat 3-4 times. Then repeat, inhaling through the right nostril. This exercise normalizes the circulation of energy and restores internal balance.

*It’s easy* – The easiest cleansing to start your day with is a glass of water at room temperature on an empty stomach. By doing this, you help your body re-engage in the eternal cycle of renewal.

The most controversial spice – Ayurveda calls salt, warning against its excessive use. But the cleansing properties of salt are not in doubt. Salt solution (1 tsp per glass of water) is considered an excellent mouth and throat rinse. This procedure perfectly cleanses mucus and toxins and opens the way to full breathing – the most important component of health.

In ordinary ablutions, Ayurveda also sees a powerful healing ritual – you just need to not be lazy to do this with all parts of the body, including the crown. Hindus believe that the “spring” (conspicuous in infants and almost overgrown in adults) deserves attention and care. At least once a week, after washing your hair, rinse the top of your head with cold water for a minute and massage it thoroughly. Kapala randhra (washing the crown) relieves fatigue, heaviness, headache, helps to wake up and cheer up. Another secret – always take water procedures with a positive attitude.

Sesame oil occupies a key role in the Ayurvedic system as a food product, medicine and cosmetic product. They say that it is the only one that has the ability to penetrate all seven layers of the skin, nourishing and cleansing. One Ayurvedic treatise says: “As snakes avoid eagles, so diseases are avoided by those who cajole their feet from knees to toes.” Pour some oil on your hands and lubricate your feet. Rub, press with the pads of your fingers from heels to toes and back. Pull each finger and twist it slightly. Finally, squeeze the foot from the sides with two palms.

The main *edible* oil of AYURVEDA is Ghee, ghee. It is based on almost the entire cuisine of Balance – Samabhava. You can make your own ghee by heating unsalted butter over medium heat. After it starts to boil and foam appears, reduce the heat. Ghee is ready when a drop of water poured into the oil begins to crackle. Cool and strain. Store at room temperature. Ghee is considered a universal anti-aging and vitality booster.

Herbs are another favorite weapon of Ayurveda, with which a person can get even more enjoyment from life. Warm evening baths with herbs are especially useful and pleasant: they cleanse from physical and mental impurities accumulated during the day, relax and soothe.

Kaya kalpa – the thought of rebirth – is one of the longest healing rituals in Ayurveda. In India, a person who wants to restore his strength completely retired from any business for several weeks, stopped all communication and stayed in maximum peace and quiet. Today, few people can afford such a long break from active life. But one day a month, which you live only with yourself and take care of only yourself, you can and should afford.

The highest step in Ayurveda is mental purification. Only a person with pure thoughts can make the world around him better, and his neighbors happier. All sophisticated methods of physical purification are nothing more than preparation for this main step. So watch your thoughts carefully. Do not forget about relaxation, resort to it in the most unexpected and “stressing” places – in traffic, in line, at the reception.
