What are the consequences of smoking?!

Every year, millions of people die from smoking worldwide. In Russia, smoking is much more common than in other countries. What are the consequences of smoking? People probably do not think about this issue. Every 6-10 seconds a person who smoked dies… The statistics are simply terrible. And yet, the question “what are the consequences of smoking?” not everyone asks.

Tobacco consumption has a negative effect on most of the organs in our body. The brain is the first to suffer from smoking. Smoking disrupts the blood supply, which can often cause a stroke.

What are the consequences of smoking Because of smoking, blood pressure often rises, which forces the heart to work too hard, and this causes an increase in blood cholesterol. As a result, fats are deposited in the arteries and myocardial infarction can occur. Smokers have a higher risk of developing it than non-smokers. According to statistics, the average age of death of a person due to a heart attack is 67 years, for smokers it is 47 years.

Long-term smoking can also lead to cancer. People who are able to smoke more than 2 packs of cigarettes a day for several years have a 60% increased risk of cancer when compared with people who lead a healthy lifestyle. Lung cancer is especially common. More people die from this type of cancer than from other types of cancer. On average, the life expectancy of a smoker is 10 years less than that of a person who has never smoked and never smokes.

Stomach ulcers, colitis, bronchitis, blurred vision are also manifestations of smoking. Those who have these diseases may someday regret that they did not get rid of addiction in a timely manner.

Terrible consequences are caused by smoking pregnant women. And there are many, many of them these days. Children who are born to smoking mothers are unlikely to be healthy. Various ailments can accompany them throughout life. Tobacco can also cause abortion, stillbirth of a child. It should be noted that the cause of infertility is also often smoking.

As you can see, habitual smoking is the cause of many diseases. I would like people of any age to think as quickly as possible about the question: “what are the consequences of smoking?” and did everything possible to get rid of the addiction.
