Beach menu

On a hot summer day, you will probably go to the beach and want to stay there longer – capricious summer rarely gives such a fine day, and the baby likes to splash around the shore. So that the baby does not suffer from hunger on the beach, we will collect an edible basket. We will definitely put in it:

Vegetables

We will certainly rinse in warm water and take tomatoes and cucumbers with us. They have a lot of liquid, and they do not create heaviness in the stomach. And your little one crunching a fresh cucumber will bring indescribable pleasure.

By the way, there will be carrots. The beta-carotene it contains has a positive effect on the health of skin cells and helps it resist the sun. There is a lot of beta-carotene in apricots, so they will also be in our basket, like others …

Fruit

You can not do on the beach without apples or pears. It’s good if they are sweet, because sweet fruits satisfy hunger better – they take longer to digest in the stomach and at the same time do not create a feeling of heaviness. But such bananas, which are convenient to eat on the street, can lie like a heavy load in the baby’s tummy. Food should be light, and it is better for a child to move more in nature than to sadly sit next to a sunbathing mother. On the way to the desired vacation spot, it is better not to stop near the collapse with watermelons, since in July and even in August there are no naturally ripened watermelons. Children under 5 years old can only eat watermelons harvested in September.

Sweet grapes eaten on a hot day can cause bloating. So let’s take others with us…

Berries

Berries, которые мы положим в наше съестное лукошко, будут без косточек. No, of course there will be bones, but very small, such that a particularly mobile child could not choke. Instead of cherries or plums, put strawberries, currants, blackberries, blueberries in a plastic “home-food” container or in a jar. Before that, of course, thoroughly rinse them in a colander. Fruit и ягоды всегда удобно кушать, если они входят в состав …

dairy products

You can take yogurt, kefir, and milk with you to the beach, but only if they are hermetically packed – small 200-ml sachets of milk, kefir or fermented baked milk with straws, yogurts in a 1.25 ml package, small milkshakes. It is better to transport them in portable refrigerators the size of a basket. But, since we don’t have such a refrigerator yet, we will try to keep these packages in the shade, outside reach of direct sunlight. After the milk package has been opened, it is only edible for 3 hours. And since we are going to the beach for a long time, it is better to take others …

The drinks

The most convenient and useful will be juices in a package of 0.2 liters with straws. Large juice bags are not very convenient, and storing them outside the refrigerator is also not recommended. Freshly squeezed juices, compotes and fruit drinks have a real chance to turn sour in 3-4 hours of being in the heat, so let’s leave them at home. It is also better not to take carbonated water if your baby is not yet five years old. From these drinks in hot weather, a child can have a very strong allergy.

Does your toddler love to eat well? Let’s take him…

Buns

Unfilled buns, biscuits, baked (not fried) pies, or plain sliced black or white bread are fine to take with you. But, if you want to take buns with butter or cream cakes, we hasten to warn you. Such products cannot be stored without a refrigerator, taken with you on the road, and even more so to the beach. If your child is sweet, offer him well-washed dried apricots or marmalade. Sandwiches with cheese, sausage, ham, meat, bacon, as well as chicken and eggs, we will not put in our food luggage. All these dishes have the unfortunate property of spoiling very quickly and causing severe food poisoning and allergic reactions. Remember that in the heat, the child’s body is much more sensitive to allergens and is able to react completely unexpectedly to seemingly familiar foods.

So that the impressions of outdoor recreation are exceptionally pleasant and joyful, and after visiting the beach you do not have to run to a gastroenterologist, we will take care of food hygiene. In no case should you wash your baby’s hands with water from a river, pond or sea. The water of many reservoirs is teeming with bacteria, including E. coli. To wash your hands, use sanitary napkins with antiseptic impregnation (you can buy them at any store for children). Filtered water will also come in handy. Manufacturers of household water filters have created special filter cassettes that can purify and disinfect water from natural reservoirs.

We figured out the food, now we will grab the necessary things: panama hats – on the tops, dark glasses – on the noses, and forward, towards the sun!
