Healthy nutrition for children

Health food for all occasions.

Some children cannot eat certain foods. However, their food should also be complete, safe and tasty. How then to feed the child?

How to prevent trouble?

Allergies and gastrointestinal disorders are often the causes of intolerance to certain foods. Often the child suffers from both.

First, a few words about prevention. Today, many babies suffer from diathesis. In fact, diathesis is not a disease, but a predisposition to certain allergic reactions (skin rash, redness).

Based on its 130 years of experience, the Nestlé Research Center develops the most suitable products for babies. If the mother does not have breast milk, then it is better to feed the child with infant formula (NAS), which is close to him in quality. Nestle complementary foods – Nestle instant baby cereals, baby juices and purees gradually prepare the baby for solid food.

The World Health Organization does not recommend introducing additional solid foods (complementary foods) to children up to 4 months of age, so as not to provoke unwanted reactions.

If the child has diathesis.

Your child has a skin rash, diarrhea, or constipation – see a doctor immediately. If the doctor makes a diagnosis: an allergic reaction to cow’s milk or another product, then this product should be excluded from the child’s diet. More recently, children with allergies were transferred to sour-milk mixtures and cereal-vegetable broths. At the same time, children could not get good nutrition and lost weight, lagged behind in development. Now that there are a number of special, therapeutic baby foods, baby milk formula can be replaced with soy milk, which is close in composition to breast milk (Alsoy produced by Nestlé).

The hardest thing to find food for children who are allergic to soy, too. Such cases are rare, and the issue of nutrition here is most acute. The Nestlé Scientific Center has created a mixture where the protein is already divided into amino acids (Alfare, Nestlé production). In this form, the protein no longer causes allergies, is easily digested and gives the baby the basis for life and development. The only difficulty is that the taste of such therapeutic mixtures differs from the taste of the usual mixture. Therefore, persistence is required parents. The reward is the complete recovery of the child.

Nestle soy-rice porridge can serve as a good complementary food for children with allergies. Unlike porridges on the water, this complete and tasty product provides proper nutrition for the child.

If the child has diarrhea.

The other most common problem is diarrhoea. There can be a lot of reasons for its occurrence: infections, including viral ones, an allergic reaction, the difficulty of digesting a product. Of course, it is impossible to find out the cause of diarrhea and prescribe treatment without a specialist.

But there is one general rule: for the period of loose stools, milk sugar – lactose should be excluded. Therefore, with diarrhea, sour-milk products are often recommended, where the lactose content is reduced. But often these products do not meet the needs of the child. For babies with diarrhea in the absence of breast milk, it is better to use lactose-free mixtures – Alsoy (soy mixture) and A1 110 (lactose-free mixture, but based on cow’s milk proteins – it cannot be used for allergies to milk !!!). Nestle soy-rice porridge (also lactose-free) will be a good complementary food.

If the child has very severe diarrhea, then it is better to hospitalize him. At the same time, it can be fed with Alfare mixture, which, due to its special composition, is very well absorbed even by children with severe diarrhea.

All these products (Alsoy, A1 110, Alfare, Nestle soy-rice porridge) are suitable for children with congenital lactose intolerance.

Important note.

Remember: for all questions related to the health of the child, you must contact the pediatrician. If you are switching your child to a different diet, do it gradually. Never give a child with allergies or diathesis a whole meal of a new food at once.
