Do they not have the will power?

And yet I doubt it. Are my patients so weak-willed? After all, most losing weight have the experience of fasting for 24 hours or more. Many of my patients have been able to fast for more than a week in their past attempts. How many thin people do you know who endured without food for at least a day?! I I think fat people are not just strong-willed, they are VERY strong-willed people who are ready to endure hunger and hard labor for the sake of their dreams. It’s just that the reasons for their fullness lie in a slightly different plane. A slightly fatter diet than it should be, relative inactivity, stress, poor sleep… Willpower really has nothing to do with it. All of these reasons can be easily corrected. You just don’t have to torture yourself with all sorts of bans, try not to eat after six, hold on to the last of your strength without sweets. These actions can train the will, but they won’t help to lose weight for sure. The statistics are relentless, 95% of cases of this kind of prohibitive regimes end in failures in the first 3-4 weeks of use.

“Wrong” metabolism

Now about the metabolism. Indeed, how else can you explain that these kilograms have come and do not go away? And most importantly, there is often some event with which excess weight seems to be associated: pregnancy, pneumonia suffered in childhood, an operation with anesthesia … But from the point of view of science, situations of this kind, perhaps, are accompanied by some increase in propensity to completeness, but no more. Otherwise, everyone would get better, all one hundred percent! In general, science is trying to find something in the metabolism, some kind of breakdown that could cause excess weight. It can be found in no more than 3% of cases. So it turns out that science does not find anything special in our metabolism, and obese people are sure that it is the exchange of everything that is to blame. Why? Yes, because they are not so ashamed.

After all, if over and over again we take on ourselves and break down, if the idea of ​​our own lack of will is unbearable for us, if we by no means want to bear the blame for our kilograms, what else can we think of ourselves? That’s right, we are not to blame, but our metabolism.

But if you say “A”, you must also say “B”. If it’s a matter of metabolism, then you need to be treated. Somehow cleanse the body of “slags”, expel “parasites”, take special medicines and supplements that improve something there. And again, there are specialists (far from poor), and various kinds of purification systems, there are no only results. Or again, as after coding, only for some, and for a while … And what to do now? But nothing! What are you doing here, once the metabolism is disturbed! It remains only to get fatter even more.

But you see for yourself, the idea of ​​metabolism has no basis. a scientific justification. Only emotional. We seem to say to ourselves: we are not to blame. But no one is to blame. The reason for extra pounds is an imbalance between nutrition, physical activity and emotional mood. If you think a little, it’s not all that hard to fix. Metabolism, if it is disturbed, is already in the second place, already DUE TO excess weight.

How to lose weight despite laziness, low willpower and “wrong” metabolism?
