Who would like pair yoga

Pair yoga (yoga with a partner, “lazy yoga”) is a type of yoga practice when exercises are performed with the help of a partner and, as a rule, in turn. Pair yoga is close to Thai or yoga massage, and when paired with a partner of the opposite sex, it is similar to the “pair” variety of tantra yoga, aimed at awakening and transforming sexual energy. Performing pair yoga exercises, partners (preferably of the same weight) help each other to keep balance, do inclinations, backbends and stretches, serve each other as support, support or, conversely, as a “weighting agent”. Working in pairs, they get the opportunity to facilitate exercises, perform previously inaccessible asanas or deepen them. Pair yoga can be practiced with a sexual partner, with a girlfriend or boyfriend, with your child, or even with an unfamiliar partner – depending on this, the psychological effect of the lesson will vary.

The main mechanism of paired stretches is the force of gravity and relaxation. When you hang, relaxed, on the arms and legs of your partner, the nature of the circulation of the main fluids – blood and lymph – changes in your body. Relaxation of the body opens the spine – our main energy channel. This happens very gently, because the instrument of influence is the force of gravity of your own body. After this practice, due to the removal of internal clamps, the restoration of normal circulation of energy and the activation of many vital processes. The vestibular apparatus is improved, the greatest amplitude of movement of the joints, elasticity of muscles and ligaments is achieved, the process of harmonious redistribution of vital forces and energies is optimized.

It is difficult to stretch out on your own the way it can be done with the help of a partner:

a large number of inverted asanas, which contributes to the outflow of stagnant blood from the lower extremities, oxygen enrichment of all tissues, renewal of the endocrine system;
a pronounced therapeutic effect for the musculoskeletal system, due to the extension of the spine under its own weight;
elements of acrobatics of pair yoga will fully reveal the power potential of your body and put a new emphasis on the formation of neuromuscular coordination. In addition to physical (acquisition of stretching and flexibility), and physiological (mutual massage, directly and indirectly affects the state of internal organs), pair yoga has a powerful psychological effect. Pair yoga classes teach you to trust your partner and people in general. As you master the exercises, pair yoga can develop into an improvisational dance of partners, turning into an excellent means of self-expression. Pair yoga is for those who need to learn how to relax and trust the world around them. For sexual partners, couples, parents and children, it makes sense to practice couple yoga to improve and develop relationships. For single people, pair yoga will help get rid of complexes in communicating with people (including people of the opposite sex).

Pair yoga is not in vain called “lazy yoga”, it has no contraindications. Everything that cannot be done by oneself for the practitioner is done by a partner. In the presence of serious diseases, practice should be paired with an experienced instructor. People who feel the need for serious physical exertion, dynamics, as well as those who are “pathologically” unable to relax, probably make sense to choose a more active style of yoga.
