How to run in the cold and not get sick: 5 simple rules

In order not to be afraid of the weather, dress and train properly.
When we move, we don’t freeze. Moreover, training in the cold is a good hardening for the body. But there are, of course, a number of rules that must be observed. By sticking to them, you will be able to run outdoors without the risk of getting sick.
1.Before going outside, warm up properly in warmth. Give 7-10 minutes of intensive warm-up – so your body will be ready for the load and it will not have to adapt to the cold. And don’t get cold waiting for the elevator, better run down the stairs. By the way, the need to warm up in cold weather will help you develop the habit of always warming up.
2. Don’t let your body cool down during your workout. Jump, crouch, run in place while waiting for the green signal. So you keep warm and do not expose yourself to the risk of catching a cold.
3. In the cold, do not plan high-speed outdoor workouts. Run at a pace that you can breathe through your nose (so the air has time to warm up before it enters the lungs). Intensive workouts are best transferred to the arena.
4. If you are a beginner, then long (more than 2 hours) runs should not be done either. Wait for the heat, but for now, it’s better to devote more time to home workouts and general physical training: squats, push-ups, abdominal exercises.
5. You ran well, which means you sweat. As soon as you return to the room, immediately take off wet clothes and put on dry ones. And only after that, start a hitch. It is best to look for the perfect place to run in bad weather near the house: it’s easier to follow all the above rules.
