Callanetics – a system of complex static exercises

The problem of excess weight worries doctors also because it not only changes the appearance of a person for the worse, but leads to clogging of the body with various toxins, and this, in turn, causes premature old age, the rapid development of flat feet, and deterioration in general well-being. As a result, problems arise not only in terms of physical health, but also moral.

How to start classes

The number of movements that you must perform when practicing callanetics ranges from 30 to 100 for each exercise. And this is not a typo. This is the basic principle of gymnastics. Movements are not performed abruptly and without any additional jerks. A signal to stop gymnastics will be a mild painful condition in the muscles.

In the process of training, you can drink water from time to time, this is not forbidden. But the water, of course, must be mineral, in extreme cases, boiled and never from the tap. Exercises in the complex are arranged according to the principle of increasing difficulty. In addition, they are also divided into special subheadings. It is not necessary to complete the entire complex, you can focus on those points that are of particular interest to you.

For example, if you are concerned about the appearance of your waist and abdomen, you can only perform movements that are designed to correct this part of the body. This not only applies to women, but is often the #1 problem for men as well.

We think it makes no sense to warn that only the systematic implementation of exercises can lead to the achievement of the goal. Before the main exercises, it’s good to carry out a series of warm-up movements that will help you get back to normal faster.

And finally, one more warning: many people, having started doing callanetics, do not lose weight for almost two weeks, because their not very good physical shape does not allow them to move with the right energies.

No need to despair. Gradually, you will see the result of your efforts.

In addition to all the above, a few more tips:

1. Do only what you can, and do not force your body to do what it is not yet ready for. At the beginning of classes, rest more often, and if you feel pain in the muscles, although you have done only 20 more repetitions, but at least 50 are required, do not overexert yourself.

2. It is advisable to perform exercises in front of a mirror. Then you will be able to observe yourself and better fix the movements.

3. Breathing should be the same as it is all the time. Try not to delay it, otherwise the body will not receive the amount of oxygen it expects.

4. Perform movements in silence, otherwise the pace may go astray.

5. As we have already warned, not only will you not immediately begin to lose weight, but, on the contrary, you can even add it a little. This is because trained muscles weigh more than flabby ones.

When doing exercises designed to strengthen the abdominal muscles, if yours are also soft enough, it will also “grow” a little at first for the same reason. But don’t worry, things will get better with time.
