Post-Workout Supplements

Post Workout Supplements
So strength training has come to an end and it’s time to immediately feed your body. As before training, whey protein and creatine must be present. Here are a few more supplements that you should also include in your post-workout shake:

Dextrose and maltodextrin are carbohydrate supplements (simple carbohydrates) that are used by the body immediately after exercise to increase insulin levels.
Glutamine – due to its anti-catabolic properties, it is best to take it after a workout.
Anabolic Halo is a post-workout complex and anabolic activator that kickstarts protein synthesis and increases growth hormone levels.
Antioxidants – reduce muscle tension by stopping free radicals from damaging muscle tissue. Vitamin E and C are excellent antioxidants, as well as zinc.
An example of a post-workout shake

Whey protein – 2 scoops (about 40-50 gr. b.)
Creatine – 5 gr.
BCAA – 5-10 gr. (depending on the composition of the protein, take only BCAA or only protein)
Antioxidants – 1 Serving (2 Capsules)
Dextrose and maltodextrin – 40 gr. (20 gr each)
Glutamine – 5 gr. (or glutamine or antioxidants, one or the other)
