Breakfast Cereals

Prepare a delicious and healthy breakfast cereal for yourself and your family. Homemade cereal flakes are much tastier than store-bought ones.

Preparation description:
Cooking cereal takes a lot of time, but does not take much effort. This recipe will give you about a 1.5 liter jar of cereal, depending on the size of the cereal.

Ingredients:
wheat flour – 4 1/2 cups
light brown sugar – 1/2 cup
baking soda – 1-1/2 teaspoons
salt – 1 teaspoon
molasses – 1/2 cup
kefir – 2 cups
clarified butter – 1/2 cup

How to make Cereal Breakfast Cereals
1. Mix dry ingredients together.
2. Stir with molasses, kefir and butter.
3. Pour the mixture into a greased 22×32 cm baking dish. Bake in the oven at 175 degrees for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool down.
4. Cut into squares and crumble with your fingers. If you prefer smaller pieces, grate the squares on a cheese grater. Spread the resulting mass on two large baking sheets. Bake at 135 degrees for 60 to 90 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes, until the cereal is dry. Cooking time for flakes will depend on their size.
5. Let the flakes cool on the baking sheets, then transfer them to storage containers. Flakes can be stored for several weeks.
