Peppermint Chocolate Tea

This is an amazing drink, tasty and invigorating. To prepare it, you need good black tea (I used “English breakfast”), cocoa powder, dark chocolate, milk and sugar. The main ingredient is mint.

Ideally, you need fresh mint, it gives a richer flavor. Beforehand, the mint leaves must be washed and not letting them dry, grind them in a mortar with sugar, in this case the mint most fully and widely reveals its wonderful aroma. I didn’t have fresh mint, I prepared mint chocolate tea with dry mint (dried since summer).

Cooking steps:
1) Rinse the teapot with boiling water, let it dry a little. Pour a tablespoon of chopped dry mint, or fresh mint leaves, previously crushed with a little sugar.
2) Add here two teaspoons of dry brewing black tea.
3) Pour in 100 ml of boiling water and wait three minutes. After that, pour another 100 ml of boiling water, close the teapot with a lid and let the mint tea brew.
4) Pour milk into a small saucepan or mug, add two teaspoons of sugar, 40 gr. dark chocolate and a teaspoon of cocoa powder. Bring to a boil, stir, there should be no lumps.
5) Now we pour the infused mint tea into the brewed chocolate, but it is necessary to pour it through a strainer, tea leaves and mint leaves should not get into the finished drink. Stir the resulting mint chocolate tea with a spoon and pour into two cups. Instead of milk, you can take cream, then the drink turns out to be thicker and more viscous.
6) The drink is served only hot with cookies or candied oranges.

Ingredients:

200 ml of water, 150 ml of milk (cream), 40 gr. dark chocolate, 1 teaspoon cocoa powder, 2 teaspoons sugar, mint (quantity at your discretion), 2 tsp. black tea.
