Bird Cherry Jam

Not everyone knows that bird cherry is an edible and very healthy berry. Personally, I like cherry jam most of all – it turns out to be very tasty and fragrant. I share the recipe.

Preparation description:
So, how to make homemade cherry jam?

Everything is very simple.

1. We sort and thoroughly wash the bird cherry berries, let them dry.

2. Sprinkle the berries with sugar, mix gently and leave in a cool place for 12 hours.

3. Berries will give juice. Pour the juice into a saucepan, and cook the remaining berries for 25-30 minutes over low heat. Then pour in the juice, boil, reduce the heat and cook for another 10-15 minutes until fully cooked. At the very end, you can add a little citric acid.

4. Bird cherry jam is ready – all that remains is to pour it into sterilized jars and close the lids.

Ready!

Ingredients:
Bird cherry berries – 1 Kilogram
Sugar – 1.2 Kilograms
Citric acid – – to taste

Servings: 5-7
