Potato dumplings with meat

Cooking time: 45 min.
Difficulty: Medium

INGREDIENTS

Potatoes 8-9 pcs.
Flour 2 cups (250 ml cup)
Eggs 2 pcs.
Minced any (beef here) 500g.
Onion 1 pc.
Salt, pepper – to taste.
Vegetable oil or goose fat.

HOW TO COOK

Finely chop the onion, sauté in butter or goose fat until transparent. Add the minced meat, salt and pepper and stirring so that there are no lumps, fry the filling until cooked. Put the pan to cool, let’s go to the dough.

Mash the peeled and boiled potatoes in mashed potatoes. (You can add a bit of milk, but do not overdo it). Add eggs and flour. Knead cool potato dough.

Be sure to roll out the dough into a “sausage” on a floured surface.

We cut the “sausage” into pieces about 2 cm.

Roll each piece into a small cake.

We spread the already cooled minced meat in the center of the cake. We wrap the filling. As a result, we should get a ball like in the photo.

We cook our dumplings in salted water. Given their size, and also the fact that the dough in this recipe is not the thinnest, you need to cook for 15-17 minutes, no less.

Serve with sour cream or any other sauce of your choice. For example, mushroom.
