Roasting

Grillage is coarsely ground nuts, filled with thick sugar syrup or fruit jam, and then dried. In the USSR, it became generally accepted to call roasting any dishes and confectionery products, which include nuts and sugar. Cakes, for example, or some pastries. Thus, most readers, with the mere word “roasting”, instantly imagine a chocolate candy with a hard filling. But in fact, in such a candy, only the filling is roasting.

But regardless of who and what understands the name of this French sweet, the vast majority of the sweet tooth loves it. This, in principle, is not bad: the dessert is full of positive qualities. But there are also disadvantages. And getting into our body, it affects the state of different organs and systems in different ways.

Let’s go through our body together with a nut candy and see how all this sweet composition is met in its different places.

The harm of roasting for the oral cavity
Grillage is a composition that is not easy to chew. This is the same hurdle that many older candy lovers face. Indeed, in most cases, industrial roasting is a very, very hard thing. The sugar syrup, in which the nuts are located, crystallizes and dries as much as possible for better preservation and shape maintenance. And when biting a dessert, many not only risk damaging their tooth enamel, even the strongest and most resistant, but also literally crack their teeth!

And even saliva does not help much here: the composition is too hard. Moreover, it is sugars that, after grinding with teeth, fall into the cavities between the teeth or cover their surface with a thin film. Here, many bacteria happily begin to absorb them, releasing organic acids and some very harmful substances as a result of this process. All of these foods destroy tooth enamel, leading to cavities, and make the mouth smell unpleasant.

Soft roasting, made from jam and nuts, has almost no such consequences. That is why dentists recommend it. But that’s all, swallowed the candy. Here it is met by the stomach and intestines.

Benefits for the stomach and intestines
It is in the stomach that most of the sugars that make up the roasting are broken down. There is still a little bit left for the duodenum, and part of it split even during mouth.

The intestines then digest the nuts. They contain a lot of fats, proteins and fiber. Therefore, for their complete digestion, the body is forced to produce a whole complex of enzymes. If a little nut candy is eaten, it will only contribute to the appetite. If the sweet tooth has not controlled himself, then after a hearty meal he will have to rest a bit.

Fiber from nuts is similar to grain or fruit counterparts. The intestine willy-nilly forced to push it, indigestible, through itself, moving the walls and contracting the muscles. It improves digestion and eliminates signs of constipation. It also prevents the absorption of cholesterol. So roasting contributes to the protection of the body from atherosclerosis. Fiber from fruits works in a similar way, if you use a mild version.

But everything that could be absorbed from the composition of the delicacy got into the blood and went to work.

Note to sweet tooth
1. The influence of sugar.

First of all, sugars begin to work. Even once in the bloodstream, they force the pancreas to produce insulin. If with a pancreatic problem, then it is sugars that can cause all the symptoms of a serious metabolic disorder, from pressure surges to loss of consciousness. In diabetes, roasting is contraindicated.

These same sugars, getting into tissues and cells, are broken down with the release of energy and work like small batteries. Thoughts become faster and cleaner, and the body becomes more mobile and stronger. And what is not used up is rapidly converted into fats and begins to be deposited in the appropriate places. Therefore, it is not worth it to be especially zealous with him.

2. Impact of proteins.

Oils and proteins from the composition of nuts are mostly broken down and consumed either for energy or for synthetic needs. Interestingly, nuts contain some essential amino acids for humans.

3. The benefits of vitamins.

If fruit soft roasting was used, then a lot of minerals entered the body with it. And a little – vitamins that withstood boiling. They all work in different ways, but the most common in fruits – potassium, magnesium, iron and calcium – help normalize blood pressure, saturate the blood with hemoglobin, reducing the symptoms of anemia, and stimulate the production of many hormones and strengthen bone tissue.

To be sure to get sweet pleasure and do not strain the body, you need to know when to stop. One roasted candy will always be a joy, and a kilogram is already torture. So listen to your body and know when to stop.
