The author is sure that when those first methods appeared, everything was as it looks now - people who discovered the New Knowledge or the lost old were met with hostility, humiliated, taken for madmen, imprisoned, executed and killed. And there will be no end to this either until we learn to accept the world as it is and try to remake it for our needs, bring it into line with our ideas and create our own rules of the game.
