The Seven Stages of Self-Realization Volume I Stage Two. Sri Paramahamsa Yogananda

of your body, calmed outwardly and inwardly in response to your requests, which means the awakening of true visions and intuitions.

Be free from material delusions
Meditation is a real miraculous means by which you can safely cure yourself of the daily shackles of matter with the evil it generates and feel like a pure spirit. Remember that before you build a temple of silence in yourself, before you destroy the ramparts of the world around you, you will never see the glory of God, you will never have true peace and lasting joy.
Revisiting the first part
Revisions are of great importance, for whenever you revisit lectures, you find something that you have not noticed, or something that has not left enough of an impression on you. We learn the most through repetition.
In addition, you will be more enlightened through new additional examples. You need to pay attention to the following important things. The more and deeper you go into the ocean of meditation and forget your little body's own wave, the more your consciousness will expand as you realize your oneness with nature and with God. In the bliss of Divine consciousness, universal love deepens. God is omnipresent and you are one with the Father.
In realization, you become in harmony with the unchanging Divine laws, so that you cannot hurt yourself or others through transgressions against the Divine nature. For what you do to others, you also do to yourself. As water strives to occupy its own level, so the individualized spirit in man always consciously or unconsciously seeks to reunite with its original source. When you consciously align with the Cosmic Laws, then you overcome the barriers of boundaries.
Concentration means freeing your attention from the objects of scattering and directing the focus of your attention to some object, material or spiritual. You can focus on money or God.
Meditation, on the other hand, is a form of concentration where you free your attention from distracting sensations and thoughts and direct it only towards God. This means to detach the mind and energy in order to use them in meditation to God. Deeper and deeper meditation evokes more and more new, joyful, spiritual properties.
The progressive disciple, having delved into the ever-new, ever-increasing joy of meditation, is always satisfied and does not chase after the false and worthless fires of delusions of desire.
But she never causes apathy for activity, she helps others in every way. It develops a good taste for refined pleasures that lead us to joy, and thus diminishes our cravings for gross pleasures.
The theological path of meditation is like a "bull cart" by which you can reach God through many incarnations. The true path of meditation, as taught in the percepts, is the path of the airplane - a shortcut to God. The whole body is saturated with peace and energy through contact with God in meditation.
Be filled daily with bliss in the temple of meditation. Form the habit of meditation by meditating a little at first, then more and more in increasing depth and intensity until you can meditate automatically and without compulsion.
Don't waste valuable time fulfilling insignificant duties at the expense of important duties to God. I knew a lady who performed her daily minor duties very carefully, but completely forgot her duties in relation to group and individual meditation. Individual and group meditation, both are essential. The former saturates the soul with God, and the latter saturates the mind with good vibrations emanating from the spiritual conviction of other souls. Putting off meditation until "tomorrow" is a great illusion.
God is revealed in the softly speaking, inwardly directed, consciously directed and increasing joy of deeper and deeper meditation, if you keep these joyful consequences of meditation for the whole day or only for part of the day, then you will see that this joy will correctly guide you in every business. This joy guides the Saints so that it is impossible for them to commit false actions. Keep the acquired joy of meditation for the whole day.
The duration of meditation produces the habit of meditation, and the depth of meditation gives contact with God. Meditate intensely and for a long time to become an adept. In intense and deep meditation you will have many wonderful experiences. Do not pour out the milk of silence after storing it in your vessel of concentration. You stay quiet and hold it within, ready to use it during trials and convince God that you love Him as a joy.
In doubt or not in doubt whether you are restless or calm, successful or unsuccessful, but meditate daily, but try to deepen your meditation and you will get results. If you meditate deeply for 8 years, then you will never don't stop. If you increase the depth of your meditation, then through this ascent you will feel more and more joy, sensual joys will lose all their attraction for you, in comparison with the powerful attraction of meditation.
Meditation gives a positive, conscious contact with God as always a new joy, light and cosmic sound of OM, after a state of negative silence, the soul is transformed.
Silence means the pacification of both muscles and thoughts. When comprehending wisdom, the spiritual and muscular death dance of anxiety and thoughts ends, then God enters the temple. God enters the temple of silence. When your spiritual temple is quiet, free from thoughts, from restless energy and muscle movements, then God appears. Meditation is the true attainment whereby you can permanently be cured of material daydreams and all their wickedness and emerge as a pure spirit.
Love can correct thieves and murderers and all who have fallen into sin.
A prayerful flower that has grown in freedom and blossomed in your heart is dearest to God.
Part II
How to Achieve Deeper Consciousness Through Meditation

Meditate as much as possible and try to maintain the calm posture that is created afterwards. As soon as your breathing calms down, your level of consciousness rises. Meditation is the only path leading to the fullness of spiritual power. Words without spiritual strength are like a gun without cartridges, but while you are meditating, do not think about the words, but about their meaning, and after that, having strengthened your spirit, express your thoughts to God. The God of Peace will direct your affairs from his throne of silent thoughts. Open your doors of peace and let the steps of silence silently enter the temple of all your works. Carry out all your duties seriously, full of calmness. Behind the beating of your heart you will feel the beating of the peace of God. Fill your heart with mental peace. Learn to form a definite opinion in every matter: in regard to a good book, in matters of religion, philosophy, and inner happiness. A self-initiated, satisfying habit of being alone is true happiness. Delve into yourself, into the depths of your thoughts and enjoy the peace that comes from your source of silence.
The nature of your soul's omnipresence
Like just as a tree grows from a seed in fertile soil, so also in the soul, with right thinking, the consciousness of omnipresence arises, for in long concentration on the body and its needs, the soul forgets its omnipresent nature. God is everywhere. The universe is His body. Human souls, made in the likeness of God, are a kind of seed of omnipresence. This consciousness of omnipresence lurks in a small body, just as a tree lurks in a small seed. Constantly growing in the body, the soul seems to be enclosed in the body. The thought of infinity, if it becomes deeper and unites the thinker, thought and the object of thought, convinces the soul that it is not only limited in a small body, but is everywhere. The mind in thoughts of infinity becomes limitless.
Men and women who want to achieve the expansion of their consciousness to the consciousness of God's omnipresence must think about the entire universe, about the entire universe. Meditation is constant thinking about inner and outer infinity so that the soul forgets its connection with a small, limited body and remembers God as a limitless body. So in the ocean there is a wave, and there is a wave and the ocean. Similarly, the spiritual ocean knows that it is a wave, and the wave must also know that it is an ocean. The ocean has become soul waves, but the soul waves that meditate need to remember that they, too, are the spiritual ocean. A small soul wave needs to forget its spiritual insignificance that arose from bodily concentration, and it is necessary to concentrate on the body of the universe as on its own large body, where the small body is only a part of the whole. The spiritual person also learns to feel the suffering and grief of other souls. He feels that the world or the universe is his abode. He needs to learn to overcome all the lusts and passions that dominate the small body, for as long as the attention of the mind is directed to the body and bodily relations, the soul will not be able to remember its omnipresent nature.
How to acquire universal consciousness
There are three ways to acquire universal consciousness:
1. Social.
2. Path of discipline.
3. spiritual path.
social path является развитием в душе зародыша Божественной любви. Too much selfishness limits the soul to bodily boundaries. The soul is a reflection omnipresent spirit. The soul, like the Ego, forgets its ethereal omnipresence and considers itself limited by the body.
Every human being can imagine that it is spreading throughout the universe, but it can feel itself only as a body.
