7 simple Ayurvedic tips for your health

There are many simple Ayurvedic practices that can be incorporated into your daily routine to improve the well-being and balance of the body. You should not enter them all at once. Each of the tips will have a positive effect on your health. Ayurveda is primarily concerned with enhancing our health and well-being by harmonizing the doshas – pitta, vata and kapha – and by optimizing digestion for increased energy. Ayurveda simply means “Knowledge of Life”.

Here are some simple but very effective Ayurvedic health tips that will quickly and positively affect your well-being.

1. Buy the best quality products you can afford

Of course, many would like to constantly buy organic products, but in reality, the increase in the price of this food can seriously hit your family budget. So just buy what you can afford. Do not be lazy to once again go to the market and buy fresh fruits and vegetables from the old ladies. Root vegetables, fruits, vegetables, honey, dairy products and meats, all these foods should be invested in quality. If you know where they came from, how and under what conditions they were grown, by whom they were produced, this indicates that you are conscious about your diet and it is important for you to understand what enters your body.

2. Eat only when you are hungry.

You should not overload your body, perhaps it is still busy digesting the previous food. Wait until your stomach sends you a signal that it is ready for the next meal. In this way, your body signals that it is able to accept and process more incoming products.

3. Always stay hydrated

Drinking plenty of water helps to remove accumulated toxins from your body and regulates water balance. From an Ayurvedic point of view, it is recommended to drink water at room temperature, as cold drinks will shock our system and reduce the “digestive fire”. Sipping water while eating is good for lubricating the digestive tract, but don’t overdo it as it can cause the opposite effect – gurgling.

4. Eat Fruit Before Meals

Fruits are really good for our body, but did you know that Is it best to eat them on an empty stomach? If fruits are eaten during or after a meal, they stay in the stomach for too long, get digested and become enzymatic, causing cramps and even constipation. Enjoy fruit before meals or as a solo snack.

5. Use herbs and spices

Seasonings for dishes are not only salt and pepper. Add depth and flavor to your dishes with herbs and spices. They not only help in digestion, but also have a therapeutic effect on the entire body. A little rosemary or thyme in your meal can help with the digestion of dairy products. Turmeric relieves inflammation and strengthens the immune system. And ginger will wake up the “fire” in your stomach.

6. Eat with gratitude

Our ancestors had a wonderful tradition – to pray before eating. Try to restore this tradition for yourself personally. Eat food consciously, with gratitude, and you will see how its taste and quality of your life will change.

7. Dry brushing for your body

The skin is the largest organ of our body. Dry brushing your body in the morning or evening promotes skin cell renewal and boosts immunity. Dry brushing invigorates, helps the skin get rid of toxins and stress, as it has a beneficial effect on the nervous system.
