Smoking on an empty stomach

Everyone knows that smoking is dangerous to life and health in principle, but, no matter what, many continue to smoke one pack after another. Some, justifying themselves, say that this is a bad habit that you cannot get rid of, others openly admit that they are not going to quit smoking at all, and some smokers often make a big mistake – they smoke on an empty stomach. And at the same time, everyone heard somewhere that smoking on an empty stomach is a very unhealthy activity, but what specific harm does smoking on an empty stomach bring?

smoking on an empty stomach When a person wakes up in the morning and the first thing he thinks about is how to quickly “drag”, he does not think about the harm done to his body. During a long absence of nicotine in the blood, sugar begins to drop (which often causes hypoxia of blood vessels). Finally, he takes the long-awaited puff. Nicotine, together with smoke, is in the stomach, stimulates secretion, and gastric juice is released, but there is no food for digestion, there is only nicotine …

And the gastric juice has no choice but to absorb into the walls of the stomach and intestines, thereby destroying the cells of the gastrointestinal tract. In addition, nicotine significantly increases blood sugar levels – the liver “gives” all glucose reserves.

If, upon waking up, you feel an acute desire to smoke, this is the first sign of a strong nicotine addiction, and that the risk of getting an appointment with an oncologist is much greater than that of friends and neighbors. But a hearty breakfast will not affect your health, it will increase the time before smoking and gradually reduce dependence on smoking on an empty stomach.

Recent studies by scientists have shown that one cigarette in the morning is much more dangerous than a whole pack in the evening, before the first “puff” you definitely need to have breakfast, this can reduce the harm from smoking by half. In impatient smokers, the concentration of nicotine and its by-products – toxic poisons – is much higher in the blood. Presumably, this fact may be due to the fact that smokers smoke more intensively in the morning, their nicotine requirements are much higher than those who smoke their first cigarette later.

As a result, smoking on an empty stomach destroys: 1) the liver; 2) stomach; 3) heart; 4) vessels. Should you smoke on an empty stomach after that, or should not, everyone decides for himself. Of course, there is a pleasant dizziness, but it becomes very unpleasant, there is a feeling of some kind of euphoria, however, all this is in no way comparable with one’s own health.
