Why hair falls out: from normal to pathological

A person loses about 100 hairs daily. If the hair begins to fall out more often and more strongly, then this may be a symptom of some kind of pathology. Hair loss is often accompanied by a hormonal imbalance. Not only heredity, but also many different external factors can lead to increased hair loss or baldness (alopecia).

The most common causes of hair loss
Often, hair begins to fall out intensely due to thyroid dysfunction, stress, fungal infections of the scalp. In men, hair loss is associated with a violation of the action of male sex hormones. If the hair began to fall out strongly and entire foci of baldness form on the scalp, then hair masks and vitamin complexes alone are not enough – you need to go to a specialist (dermatologist, trichologist) and look for the cause of the problem.

But in many cases, increased hair loss is just a consequence of improper care for them, overdrying, insufficient intake of vitamins and malnutrition, bad habits. For example, often hair loss provokes poor blood supply to the scalp. Dull, often falling out brittle hair occurs in people with cardiovascular diseases, osteochondrosis, etc. Contribute to poor blood supply, the frequent use of hairpins and hair ties, as well as excessive passion for coffee and tea. Caffeine affects small vessels, narrowing them, thereby impairing hair nutrition.

Sharp changes in temperature negatively affect the hair: often the hair begins to fall out more strongly in winter and summer. For example, if you are used to walking without a hat in the heat and do not protect your hair with special products, but at home you constantly dry your hair with a hairdryer, straighten it with hot irons and often dye it, then in this case, increased hair loss is quite natural. In women, iron deficiency can further increase hair loss: therefore, during menstruation or following strict diets, hair often begins to fall out.
How to strengthen hair at home
You can also strengthen your hair at home. Cosmetologists recommend applying a nourishing mask to your hair half an hour to an hour before washing your hair. It is important to select hair care products according to your hair type, take into account possible allergic effects and apply products to the hair by gently massaging the hair roots.

Masks of black bread, apples, parsley, almonds will help strengthen oily hair. For example, a bunch of parsley should be washed, finely chopped, the resulting slurry mixed with st. a spoonful of castor oil. Wait 5-10 minutes for the mask to infuse and apply to the hair roots and scalp.
For dry hair, masks from burdock, coconut oils, egg yolks, kefir are suitable. The principle of operation is the same: 1 tbsp. a spoonful of butter + 1 yolk. Mix everything and apply to your hair. Important – the mask should not be cold.
Massage, physiotherapy and vitamins are needed not only for the body, but also for the hair
Hair also needs vitamins, so eat healthy foods for hair growth: oily fish, poultry, eggs, green vegetables, nuts, dairy products. The modern pharmaceutical market offers a lot of phytocomplexes and vitamins that are effective for strengthening hair.

An excellent tool for improving the condition of hair, as well as skin, is darsonvalization: this is a physiotherapeutic procedure in which, using a special apparatus, electrical impulses are applied to the skin or mucous membranes. You can purchase a portable darsonval device and strengthen your hair yourself at home. Massage of the scalp is also effective for improving the condition of the hair: the procedure is done on dry hair and it is better to entrust it to a specialist.
