What is a dislocation

Dislocation is damage to the joint with a persistent mutual displacement of the articular ends of the bones and a change in their inherent position relative to neighboring organs. Some people are naturally prone to dislocations. The reason for this phenomenon is the shallow depth of the pits in the joints, and therefore the heads of the bones included in them do not hold tightly, and thin and weak ligaments are easily stretched. Dislocation of the knee joint, for example, is often due to soft ligaments.

When the dislocation is reduced, the bone is pulled back from the displaced position until its end is opposite the place from which it jumped out, and then the bone is returned to its place. At the same time, a distinct sound is heard. After repositioning, the dislocation site is bandaged. If a tumor-like hardening remains in this place, for resorption it should be rubbed in winter with heated sunflower oil, and in summer with honey and cold water and immediately apply a bandage.
