Apple peel in the fight against excess weight

In most minds, there is still an opinion that the peel of any vegetable or fruit contains most of the harmful substances than the pulp itself and should be peeled before eating. But we can safely say that products grown in their own country house or on their own farm will not contain chemicals and pesticides.

A considerable number of people are overweight, up to obesity, which leads to the emergence of a large number of diseases, among which diabetes is not the last. There are many treatments for diabetes and medicines, but among the natural methods, apple peel takes the leading role.

This effect is confirmed by research by scientists conducted at the Iowa State Institute, which proved the presence of a considerable amount of ursolic acid directly in the apple peel, which allows you to fight extra pounds and build muscle.

Studies were carried out on mice suffering from obesity, acquired as a result of malnutrition and consumption of high-calorie foods. Ursolic acid not only strengthens the muscles, but also burns excess body fat, lowers blood sugar levels, and improves the general condition of the body.

In laboratory mice participating in the experiment, a stable decrease in brown adipose tissue was noted, although before that many believed that this type of fat was characteristic only of newborns. But as it turned out, such fat is also present in the adult population, although in a smaller number, it is located in the area of ​​​​the shoulder blades and neck.

It is not yet possible to note what effect the peel will have on a person, since scientific research on this issue in humans has just begun and it is not worth talking about specific results.

What are the benefits of apple peel? If we compare the peel and pulp, then it is the peel that contains 5 times more useful elements than the pulp. It contains flavonoids that keep the heart muscle in good shape and stabilize venous and blood pressure. At the same time, the apple peel itself contains antioxidants that slow down the aging process, and therefore the apple was not in vain called the fruit of youth.

In what form should an apple be consumed so that the body absorbs all the useful substances as much as possible. You can just limit yourself to daily consumption of apples along with the peel, but you can also prepare delicious dishes from it. First of all, it is worth mentioning tea using apple peel. To prepare it, you need a little: 6 tablespoons of dried apple peel and 1 tablespoon of fresh apple peel, 1 liter of water, 3 tablespoons of honey and lemon zest.

In an enamel bowl with a wide bottom, put dry and fresh apple peel and lemon zest, pour water. Put the vessel itself on a small fire and cover it tightly with a lid and weld for 5-6 minutes. After the drink, cool a little and add honey and let it brew for 20 minutes, wrapped in a warm towel.

Jelly from the peel of a fresh apple will please all the sweet tooth and for which you need the zest of 1 lemon, cloves – 5 pieces, fresh apple peel and sugar are taken based on 1 liter of juice – 550 – 600 grams.

In an enamel bowl with a wide bottom, put the peel, pour water on top, put a clove and a dozen apple seeds. Tightly closing the lid, boil for about 40 minutes, and after cooling a little, strain several times. The resulting strained juice is again boiled down to 2/3 of the original volume and, adding sugar, bring to the fire until it thickens and becomes a jelly, while stirring constantly.
