Five non-health reasons to start running

Both old and young know that running is good for health. However, the existence of a huge community of runners may prove that running is capable of something more. Its benefits are not limited to health benefits and can help many feel like a human being in every sense of the word.

I didn’t like to run when I had to do it by force. However, the situation changed when I realized that running is a kind of relaxation, as well as the opportunity to do several useful things at the same time.

Target. Running develops the ability to achieve a goal. When you reach muscle fatigue towards the end of a race, you don’t stop. You need to run to the end, finish with it and mark a successful run in your training plan. Your health, success and willpower are formed from such completed runs.

In our life, things are the same. Rising up or moving forward is made up of steps taken or completed cases. They need to be brought to the end, despite the fact that it is unpleasant and requires overcoming oneself.

Community. Quite often you can meet people who run in pairs or groups. This is a community of like-minded people who can motivate each other or have a friendly competition. The community allows you to meet people who think like you and strive towards a goal like you do.

Time to think. Running is a great time to think. In fact, when you run, you easily switch off from various chaotic thoughts. The brain seems to reset to zero and it is easy for you to take a fresh look at some situation or problem. While jogging, original thoughts can be born in your head.

Mood. During a run, a number of feel-good neurotransmitters are released in the brain. You may notice that even after a hard run, there is a desire, motivation and enthusiasm to do something. Mood improves and life seems better.
Diversity. You can choose a new place to run each time, if conditions allow. It will be interesting and at the same time will not allow the body to get used to standard loads. Of course, this cannot be called a full-fledged trip, but you can get pleasant emotions.

According to Forrest Gump, in order to run, you don’t need to know any reasons at all and keep some advantages in mind. You can just run.
