Genmaicha Brown Rice Tea

Genmaicha (genmaicha), from the Japanese “brown rice tea”, is a Japanese green tea made from tea leaves and roasted rice. Initially, poor Japanese drank such tea, as rice served as a filler and reduced the cost of the drink. That is why genmaicha is also known as “folk tea”. Today it is used by all walks of life. The finished tea is light yellow in color, with a pleasant taste of roasted grains. Unlike most teas, genmaicha has an energy value (an ordinary mug, which takes 2 grams of tea leaves, has a calorie content of about 1 kcal with a fat content of 0.03 g). I invite everyone to a cup of this Japanese energy drink.

Ingredients for Genmaicha Brown Rice Tea:
Rice (white long grain) – 0.5 stack.
Green tea (large-leaf good) – 0.5 stack.
Water – 300-500 ml

Recipe for Genmaicha Brown Rice Tea:

Let’s prepare the ingredients. This is what we need.

Rice fry in a dry frying pan, stirring, until a beautiful golden color.

Let it cool and mix with tea leaves.

Store this tea in an airtight container to preserve the aroma. To prepare a drink, boil water, let it cool to 80-85 degrees, otherwise some of its beneficial properties and taste may be lost during brewing. Pour 1-2 tsp. mix, pour water, let it brew for 3-5 minutes, depending on the desired strength and immediately serve. You can add a little salt to the finished tea.

Happy tea!!!
