Apple puff pastries

If you have puff pastry and a couple of apples in the fridge, you can make wonderful crispy corner pies for tea. To do this, you need a sandwich maker – yes, yes, you can cook not only sandwiches in it. These are absolutely simple pies, but very tasty. If you don’t have a sandwich maker, you can also bake them in the oven.
How to make puff pastries with apples

Ingredients:

Puff pastry – 500 g
Apple – 3 pcs.
Powdered sugar – 2 tbsp
Butter – 3 tsp room temperature
Starch – 1 tsp
Cooking:

one.
Wash apples, peel and core. Cut apples into small cubes. It is better not to rub on a grater, because the filling will turn into porridge.

2.
We let the puff pastry thaw, unfold it on the work surface. If we bake puff pastries in the oven, then we simply cut them into rectangles, which we then fold in half. The size depends on your preference, you can make small or large pies, or even 2 long pies.

If we bake pies in a sandwich maker, then you can attach a panel and cut out a square 2 times larger than the panel itself. It is advisable to cut off the excess dough so that it does not come out later from the sandwich maker. I stretch the dough slightly with my hands so as not to roll out, but to make it thinner. Although you can roll it out if it has not completely melted and does not stick to the rolling pin.

The dough is enough for 12 corner pies, so you need to get three squares.

3.
Melt 2 teaspoons of butter in a saucepan, add 1.5 tablespoons of powdered sugar and add apples. Stir and cook until the apples become softer.

four.
We heat up the sandwich maker, grease the panels with the remaining butter before the first batch of pies. It should not be much, otherwise it will start to flow. We spread the filling on the prepared square of dough in the same way as the recesses are located on the panel. The filling must be divided into three runs.

5.
Lubricate the edges of the dough with water so that the dough sticks together better. We crush with our fingers and outline future triangles. We shift the workpiece to the bottom panel of the sandwich maker. If this method is not very convenient, then you can put a layer of dough on the panel, holding it by the other edge. Quickly spread the filling into the recesses, cover with the second edge of the dough and close the sandwich maker, thereby forming pies.

If we bake pies in the oven, then we simply put the filling on half of the dough, cover the second and pinch well.

6.
We bake pies until golden brown, the baking time depends on the power and features of your sandwich maker. The first 5 minutes I try not to open it, but when it starts to make whistling sounds, I open the panels a little to let the air out. If the pies are not yet browned, I continue to cook further.

Make sure that the filling does not leak out and does not fall on the heating element. If the sandwich maker is not closed, the pies will turn out more puffy and fluffy, but not all sandwich makers want to blush in this position.

In the oven, the pies are baked until golden brown at 210 degrees, or at the temperature indicated on the dough package.

7.
Cut the ready-made hot pies into triangles, sprinkle with the remaining powdered sugar if desired.

eight.
Similar pies with bananas are even easier to prepare. The filling does not need to be cooked, but simply put the sliced bananas on the dough, if not very sweet, then lightly sprinkle with powder. Next, cook, like pies with apples.
