Small tasty sandwiches are a versatile snack on any holiday table. It is delicious, simple and affordable, and it takes very little time to prepare this dish.

However, it is now difficult to surprise someone with ordinary sandwiches, therefore, more and more often, housewives began to give preference to originally designed canapes. There are many variations of this dish, but today we offer you the simplest and most understandable recipe for everyone – canape with herring and brown bread. herring fillet – about 150 g;
fresh or pickled cucumber – 1 pc.;
black bread – 3-4 slices;
mustard – 1-2 teaspoons;
butter – about 50 g;
olives – about 8-10 pieces;
dill greens – 2-3 sprigs;
any greens (for decoration) – to taste. How to make canapes at home. After cutting off the crusts, cut the black bread into thin small pieces. You can choose any cutting method – squares, triangles, diamonds, etc. The main thing is that all the pieces are the same in size. On top of each slice of black bread, we coat with a thin layer of mustard. Prepare fragrant oil for canapes. Finely chop clean and dry dill. Mix greens with softened butter and apply on slices of bread. For more flavor and additional flavor “tint”, you can add chopped coriander to the oil mixture. Cut fresh or pickled cucumber into thin slices. Put on oil. By the way, in addition to sliced ​​cucumber, a sour green apple, chopped into slices, or kiwi will also successfully fit into the flavor “composition” of the dish. Choose an additional ingredient according to your personal taste! Cut the herring fillet into pieces so that they match the size of the base bread. Lay the fish on the cucumber slices.
We insert one toothpick into each blank. With the finishing touch, we put whole or chopped olives on toothpicks. If desired, we decorate the appetizer with greens.
