Chinese cabbage salad with croutons

Ingredients:
Chinese cabbage – 150 grams;
Canned corn – 200 grams;
Ham – 150 grams;
Cheese “Gouda” – 100-120 grams;
Crackers from white bread or long loaf – 1 pack;
Mayonnaise – to taste;
Ground black pepper.

Description of the cooking process:
To prepare a salad of Beijing cabbage and crackers, it is advisable to use small heads of cabbage with young and tender leaves. Crackers can be added both store-bought (for me, for example, with cheese flavor), and cooked at home. Just add crackers just before serving, otherwise they will get soaked in mayonnaise and the taste of the salad will be spoiled. And if desired, ham can be replaced with smoked chicken breast or smoked turkey meat.

Finely chop the Chinese cabbage.

Cut the ham into cubes or strips.

Cheese grate on a coarse grater.

Combine cabbage, ham and cheese.

Add canned corn.

Pepper to taste, add mayonnaise and mix. I do not recommend salting the salad, since cheese, ham and mayonnaise are quite salty in themselves.

Before serving, add croutons to the salad and mix gently.
Bon appetit!

And happy experimenting!
