TRES LECHES Pie

“Tres leches cake” or “pastel de tres leches” (from the Spanish “three milk cake”) is a biscuit with milk or a butter biscuit soaked in three types of milk: concentrated milk, condensed milk and whole milk. The cake is very popular in many parts of Latin America. But the origin story of “tres leches cake” is debatable. It is believed that it was most likely invented by Europeans by analogy with the Tiramisu dessert, where biscuit cookies are also richly soaked, or an English muffin soaked in whiskey. Be that as it may, but today Tres leches is known as a Mexican cake. The cake has a delicate airy texture, despite the huge amount of impregnation. I chose a biscuit version that does not contain butter, in addition, I did not cover the cake with whipped cream, since it is already very tender in itself, and, of course, because of the desire to reduce the calorie content of the cake. In addition, I could not find concentrated milk in stores, so I replaced it with a mixture of whole and powdered milk. So, Tres Leches (lite version)
