Prunes during lactation

Women who are breastfeeding often hear that sweets should be excluded from the diet, but our brain really needs glucose. But in order not to get empty calories from cookies and sweets, it is better to replace them with dried fruits, which will bring a lot of benefits to mom. For example, prunes. When breastfeeding, it is not only possible, but also necessary to eat.

Every woman wants to look good, have a beautiful figure and smooth skin. Prunes do an excellent job with this task.

Regular use of prunes in the most favorable way affects the work of the intestines, heart and body as a whole:

Harm of prunes for babies
Due to their laxative effect, prunes can provoke diarrhea, so moderation is needed in its use. When breastfeeding, you need to start eating prunes with one thing a day, if the baby has no reaction (colic, diarrhea), then you can increase the amount to four.

Prunes compote is very useful, the action of which is much softer. It is advisable to harvest fruits yourself, because our fruits or unscrupulous manufacturers brought from abroad can process chemicals that accumulate in the body of not only mothers, but also the child.

How should prunes be administered during lactation?
Before eating prunes, it must be washed and poured over with boiling water, or even better, pour them for a few minutes.

When introducing prunes during lactation for the first time, it is advisable not to introduce any new products in order to follow the reaction of the child.

If the baby suffers from constipation, then immediately eat a lot of prunes worth it: you need to start with a minimum amount, adding 1 piece per day until the effect occurs. You can do the following:

1. Put a few pieces of prunes in a glass of boiling water, and after the infusion is ready, drink it, and eat the prunes. After 4 months, such an infusion can be given to the baby in a teaspoon.

2. Boil 100 g of prunes in 500 ml of water for a few minutes and leave to brew for an hour. This decoction can be given to the baby in a teaspoon in the morning.

3. Soak prunes overnight, and in the morning, drain the liquid and fill with clean water, boil until tender. Then grind the dried fruits into a puree. You can give a teaspoon for constipation, following the reaction: if diarrhea starts, then reduce the amount, if it doesn’t help, increase it a little.

The reaction of the child to the prunes eaten by the mother or the compote drunk from it may differ at different ages. If in the first months the intestines can react negatively, then in the future everything can stabilize.
