Features of brewing black tea

Black tea is a cultivated plant grown on specially equipped plantations, divided into a large number of varieties. Among them, three specific types can be distinguished: Indian, Chinese and mixed. Indian includes such popular varieties as Darjeeling, Assamese and Sikkimese. Yunnan and Keemun are examples of Chinese tea. Tea blends (Earl Grey, English or Irish Breakfast) have the largest number of fans. Nowadays, you can buy tea in any grocery department, but there are also separate shops specializing in the sale of rare varieties.

Black tea has certain beneficial properties for our body:

The content of a small amount of caffeine, which affects the nervous system, gives energy, so this tea is drunk in the morning. In addition, it contains fluoride, which reduces the risk of caries.
Strengthening the cardiovascular system. This drink improves blood flow, reduces the risk of thrombosis, and cleanses of toxins.
Improving the functioning of the digestive system. The use of this variety has pleasant consequences for our gastrointestinal tract, it has a beneficial effect on the production of gastric juice and metabolism.
Stimulation of the nervous system. Increases resistance to stress, attention and the ability to remember information.
How to properly brew black tea

In order for black tea to actively act on the body, it must be properly brewed. You will need the following information in this process:

It is best to brew black tea at a temperature of 90-95 degrees Celsius. To do this, turn off the kettle 2-3 seconds before boiling.
Before falling asleep the leaves, the previously washed teapot needs to be warmed up: pour boiling water into it, rinse and pour it out.
To prevent the drink from being too strong, you need to correctly measure the right amount of tea leaves: one teaspoon per cup. However, the method of cutting tea also matters here (finely chopped tea has a brighter taste), the degree of water hardness (the higher it is, the more spoons should be put) and the time that has passed since the previous meal (taste properties can be dulled).
After falling asleep the leaves, you must first pour a third of the kettle, wait a minute, and then pour three-quarters of the remaining volume. It is brewed from two to five minutes.
These tips will help reveal the taste of the drink and thereby improve tea drinking.

Popular additives and their properties

Quite often, various spices and herbs are added to black tea, such as:
