The Seven Stages of Self-Realization Volume II Stage Four. Sri Paramahamsa Yogananda

of your mind. The flowers of peace and achievement achieved by daily meditation are more pleasant and permanent than all the wealth of this world. There is nothing more comforting than true peace. This is immortal property. Worldly wealth can only be used, but cannot be kept forever. Meditation is the missing link between religion and realization. God and church, God and man, spirit and soul.
Use your efforts and energy to develop your talents
Many young men are not lucky, they do not have prosperity, because
hypnotized themselves with the consciousness of their failures, so they do not repeat their attempts to achieve success. Only through repeated efforts can creative diligence be achieved. The world is full of imitators and few creatives. A creative person should not wait for opportunities, shifting the blame on fate, circumstances and the gods. He uses circumstances and opportunities or creates them through his magical magical wand of will, effort, search and determination. Luck will not be with those people who are too striving for success. Many are hungry for success, making little effort to achieve it, and still fewer working hard and hard to find it. Mental laziness, lack of initiative and impatience are the biggest enemies success.
Many people live their whole lives with the desire to be able to do something perfectly, like playing the piano or being an artist, but they are too lazy and careless to make the necessary efforts to achieve perfection in their chosen occupation. They live many years without success and make excuses: "I didn't have time to practice or find a good teacher, and I'm not a genius." The realization of exceptional talent is not as important as constant determination. Many people fail to achieve the fulfillment of their material, mental and spiritual desires because they lack determination and constant perseverance.
Beware of losing the mood to achieve in business. It paralyzes the repetition of efforts leading to success. Beware of drowning out the omnipotent power of the soul. Fear nothing but fear itself. Try not to be afraid of anything else. The mental feeling of fear breeds the habit of being afraid of everything, and if there is a real reason for fear, then the cultivated subconscious fear will demand its share and paralyze the ability of your conscious mind to resist fear.
Since we are created in the image of God, we have all the powers and might of God. If you are made in His image, then it is wrong to think that your trials are greater than your divinity. Remember that whatever your trials are, you are not so weak that you cannot fight them. God does not want you to be tempted beyond your strength. For example - person "A" and "B" are engaged in boxing for the prize. "A" said, "I've taken a few hits and I can't take any more." "B" said the same. Finally "A" said, "One more hit, and that's enough." So "A" pushed harder and "B" lost. So do you. Do at least one more hit.
Feelings of worthlessness or superiority are both harmful
Feeling inferior is just as harmful as feeling superior, if you have a sense of superiority then you are inferior, and if you are inferior then you cannot be superior. Remember that by birth you are true sons of God, by your essence you are children of God, and therefore it is inappropriate to think that you are insignificant, and it is bad to think that you are too excellent. When your own "I" takes over within you, then you expel God from yourself, therefore avoid feeling inferior or superior, for both hinder the progress of the soul. You need to feel that God is with you, guiding you, and that God is your greatest love and your greatest advantage. You are the servant of all, and therefore you dare not imagine yourself superior to others, and since God is with you, you should avoid feeling inferior or superior.
The complex of insignificance arises when communicating with some people. The superiority complex is born from self-praise and boasting. Both of these complexes have a destructive effect on self-development. Both are based on imagination and do not reflect true facts. They are immutable and do not refer to the true, omnipotent nature of the soul. Build self-confidence by overcoming your weaknesses. Bring out this confidence by actually finding it in your increasing accomplishments, and you will be free from inferiority and superiority complexes.
Effect of habit
It must be remembered that it is very difficult to give up every worldly joy that dwells in your consciousness and which, having become a habit, directs your mind. It is very difficult for the disciple to give up the known sense pleasures in the present in favor of the unknown pleasures to be attained in the future. For this reason, millions of people would rather eat, drink, and be merry today than take on the difficult task of meditating in a quiet place and cultivating a state that always brings inner happiness.
Even the superman, while he is in a state of higher consciousness in deep meditation, is also still subject to the temptations from his memories, before and after birth, of sensual pastimes that promise easily attainable pleasures of every kind instead of the lasting joy difficult to achieve in meditation and self-control.
When you do something bad for a long time, it will be difficult for you to break the bad habit. If you have lived in self-satisfaction, then it will be very difficult for you to understand free, noble and spiritual thoughts. If you have created the habit of worrying, then it will be difficult for you to meditate and enjoy the wine of joy.
Build the Temple of Life, Peace and Bliss
Exercises for the development of will and concentration give amazing results. This energy is quickly assimilated by muscles, blood, nerves for cell renewal.
To awaken energy practice the very important exercises that are described in the first lectures as the main thing in the morning, and give the 20 members of the body an energy breakfast to make them flexible. This will make the body the Temple of Life. Then in this Temple of Life place the Temple of Intuition, Peace and Bliss, practicing concentration and meditation. In the morning, practice these lessons for at least 1/4 hour each, in a sitting position.

9. THE MYSTERY OF RELIGION
Part I
Religions, or man's views of religion and faith, are different, but the true religion, or the real spiritual experience of man, whether he be a Hindu, a Christian, or an adherent of any other sect or school, reveals the Divine realization and the path of truth, which are always the same. same. There is only one truth, there cannot be two or more truths.
Religion is often worked on by dogmatists, reformers who have chosen themselves and appropriated the names of God's counselors, mysterious interpreters. The patent for religion is secured by a commercial seal, and spiritual miracle workers fuss around it with unscientific, but promising preaching of their art. "Only the only thing we have - the best" - is a declaration of almost all cults. However, this requires criteria that give the right to judge what is the best, just as the quality standards of goods determine which store is the best in the city, although each store advertises itself as the best.
It is impossible to deny the good that religion has carried for centuries, reminding people of the ideal through faith, through reasoning, and through fear and fanaticism. However, unscientific religion was the cause of the caste system and other tyrannies in the East, and in the West it was the cause of the tyranny of the class system, the Spanish Inquisition and the burning of martyrs.
How to Avoid Hypocrisy in Religion
Like ancient slaves, religion is imprisoned and enslaved by dogmatic darkness. The original religion arose as a result of unscientific searches about the essence of the beginning of the mysteries, about the future life, about the terrible phenomena of nature, about God, etc. Through the ages there have been a few enlightened men gifted with intuitive wisdom, persuading people to believe the doctrines.
Hypocritical religion, racial differences and creeds separated brother from brother. Ignorance is 50% in the East and 50% in the West. When the ignorant people of East and West meet, then they argue and disagree with each other, thanks to their conceit. However, when intelligent people from East and West meet each other, they come to an agreement that not every deed is perfect both in the East and in the West, that the best of the East and the best of the West must be reunited in the features of the national character. Both Eastern and Western peoples must remember that they are created in the image and likeness of God, that the same blood flows in all nations, and that all people are the children of Adam and Eve.
Hypocrisy is death to truth; wisdom is the foundation on which all races must rely in order to reach the realm of truth. The reason why religion is not universal either at school or at home is that it is unscientific, lacking rigorous proof of universal experience in its principles. Religion must be wrested from the hands of hypocritical priests and given into the hands of unprejudiced scientists.
Establishing the Church on Certain Grounds
The usual method of almost all churches is to keep their people by force of the religious habit of going to church, or by "holy" threats, or reading, or music, or entertainment in the church. The church cannot compete with professional
