Gypsy Girl Exercise

Gypsy exercise

Circular movements of the shoulders forward. Performed simultaneously with both shoulders. Starting position: standing with a straight back and straightened shoulders. We raise both shoulders, then in a circular motion we send the shoulders forward and lower them with force. At this moment, we take a short noisy breath through the nose and mentally start counting: “one”. At the moment of inhalation, the arms straighten. This is followed by a momentary relaxation of the shoulders and arms, and the exhalation goes passively. And again a circular movement of the shoulders forward.

We rest for 2 seconds after each “eight”, i.e. after every 8 breaths-movements. The norm is 4 times 8 breaths-movements.

Having completed 32 breaths-movements of each version of the exercise “Gypsy”, in total we get 96 breaths-movements, i.e. Strelnikov’s “hundred”.

The exercise should be done slowly. And only when the “Gypsy Girl” exercise is worked out and becomes familiar to you, try to do it at the pace of the main complex.

Remember! The shoulders in all variants of the “Gypsy Girl” exercise tense up only when we force them down to the floor. A noisy short breath through the nose and a downward movement of the shoulders are done strictly simultaneously.
