Technique: We take a position on the bench. We remove the barbell from the racks or ask someone to give it to outstretched arms. The grip is straight. The distance between the hands is about two palms. We take our hands back to about a 45% angle. From this position, we have to do all the planned approaches. While inhaling, by bending the arms at the elbows, slowly lower the barbell. And here there are already two options where to lower it. In the classic version, it is customary to lower the barbell behind the head until it touches the bench. An alternative option is to lower the bar to the forehead. In this case, the load on the triceps at the lowest point increases. Extending the arms at the elbows, we return the barbell up. At the same time, the shoulders and elbows do not move. Movement occurs only in the elbow joints, and due to this movement, the barbell rises. Of the muscles, only the triceps are actively working. It is simply impossible to perform this exercise in an explosive style. But, in any case, you need to control the bar on the entire trajectory. You can go down slower and go up a little faster.

A classic and very popular triceps exercise that works all three muscle heads. This exercise allows you to work with decent weights and perfectly develops the total mass of triceps, although, according to experienced athletes, it is quite traumatic.
