Skoda is a Czech car manufacturing company.

The company was founded relatively recently – in 1925. They named the brand in honor of Emil Skoda, a talented engineer.

The first car of the company was the 4R model, and after it came the Skoda 420, a feature of this model was the trunk, which could be opened both from the outside and from the inside, which was a rarity at that time.

During the Second World War, the company produced military equipment in huge volumes and cars in very small quantities.

The first new post-war car was the Skoda 420, the car was very successful, but it was produced only until 1971.

In the early 70s, Skoda gains sports fame after the production – Skoda 110R, this model began to serve as a prototype sports car.

In the 80s, Czech masters worked on a new masterpiece – Skoda Favorit, this car became practically the leading car of the entire socialist community.

However, in 1989, the velvet revolution began in Czechoslovakia, and it was by no means an easy task for the company to survive these years. The government, due to significant disruptions in the production of the company, decided to sell it to a foreign investor, the choice fell on Volkswagen, which offered the company the most favorable conditions.

The secret of Skoda’s popularity is simple – the combination of quality and price is so harmonious that it would be a sin to refuse the opportunity to purchase a car from this company.

Skoda cars are still winning the hearts of more and more buyers in international markets to this day.
