Seat is a Spanish car manufacturer. In 1990, she became part of Volkswagen.

The company was founded in 1950, the founders of which were the National Institute of Industry, 6 different banks and the Fiat company. The construction of the Seat plant began in Barcelona.

In 1953, the first-born of the company left the plant, and the following year, another 3,000 of his “brothers” appeared.

In 1970, new directions appeared on the pages of Seat’s history, one of which is sports. Spanish racers have repeatedly performed on new models in national or European racing championships.

In 1993, a factory in Martorell was opened, the forces of which made it possible to produce 2,000 cars per day, while each newly produced car was already sold. Entering the conveyor, the so-called “black box” was introduced into the car, which remembered all the actions taken, and the incoming information was checked for correctness. Such a system helped to become super-profitable production.

Seat ranks eighth among European car manufacturers.

In 2000, the company celebrated the release of the 13 millionth Seat. And in 2001 alone, the company produces 11 million cars.
