Scania is a Swedish concern that occupies a leading position in the production of trucks and buses.

The concern was formed by the company Humber, which produces bicycles. The name Scania, chosen by the company, reflected the belonging to the South Swedish region under the same name.

In the year of its opening, the company produces its first passenger car, followed by a truck.

Simultaneously with the cargo first-born Scania, another company Vabis also receives its first product. As a result of the merger of these two companies, a new union was formed under the name Scania-Vabis. In the first year of cooperation, the company produced serious volumes of various types of transport.

One day, a severe fire broke out at the company’s factory, which forced the almost ruined company to change all the equipment for a more advanced one. This event had a positive effect on the subsequent war years, Scania easily carried out all the orders received from the army managers.

In the 1950s, the company began to actively use a new strategy, namely the promotion of its unique products to foreign markets. With the same efficiency, old car parts were replaced with more modern ones, and completely new technologies were introduced.

In the production of heavy trucks, the company has always been a leader.

Today, trucks produced by Scania are equipped with engines that are environmentally friendly.

And recently the company has produced a new model – Griffin, designed specifically for the CIS market and is distinguished by its durability and reasonable price.
