Pedoulas

Pedoulas (Greek Πεδουλάς) is a village in Cyprus, in the Nicosia region, located 4 km south of the village of Mutullas.

Located at an altitude of 1097 meters above sea level – the main settlement of the Marathas valley. The village is home to the Church of Michael the Archangel, built in 1474 and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A few meters from the church is the Museum of Byzantine Art in the village of Pedoulas. The population is 191 people. Pedoulas is a popular holiday destination: beautiful landscapes, especially in May, attract tourists from other countries. The main income of the inhabitants comes from the sale of cherries, the cultivation of which is the basis of the agriculture of the village.
