Ujar

Ujar (until 1991 – Ujari; Azerbaijani Ucar) is a city, the administrative center of the Ujar region of Azerbaijan. Located 250 km west of Baku. Railway station on the Baku-Tbilisi line.
In 1941 it received city status. According to the 1959 census, 7,760 people lived in the city.
According to the 1979 census, there were 12,090 people in Ujar, and according to the 1989 census, the population reached 14,273 people.

There are canning, concrete, cotton-cleaning plants.
