Dastakert (arm. Դաստակերտ) is a city in the north-west of the Syunik region in Armenia. Formerly part of the Sisian region of the Armenian SSR
The mayor of the city is Nairi Filosyan.

Geography
It is located on the eastern slopes of the Zangezur Range at the foot of Airi Mountain and the Dastakert River. At an altitude of about 1900 m. The distance to Kapan is 127 km, to Yerevan – 236 km.

Economy
The bank Sisian branch Haypost (Armpost) is located in the city.
In Soviet times, a copper-molybdenum flotation factory operated in Dastakert.
