Arzni (Armenian Արզնի, Assir. ؐتؙآ؝) is a village in Armenia in the Kotayk region. Located in the Armenian Highlands. It is located 23 kilometers north of the city of Yerevan in the gorge of the Hrazdan River, at an altitude of about 1300 m above sea level.
Founded after the Russo-Persian war in the 19th century by Assyrians and Armenians living in Persia. In 1969, there were 5.7 thousand inhabitants. In 1990 – 5.4 thousand inhabitants.
Hero of the Soviet Union Sergei Sarkhoshev was born in the village.

Resort
Resort, the main therapeutic factors are carbonic-chloride-hydrocarbonate-sodium waters. The climate in the area is typically warm and temperate. The air temperature reaches -5°С in winter, the average temperature in summer is +22°С. The duration of the sunshine is about 2200 hours per year. Favorable climatic conditions and clean mountain air create good conditions for treatment and recreation. Today there are several sanatoriums in Arzni.
