Cellular communication

If you are going to Liechtenstein seriously and for a long time and there is a need to stay on the phone in order not to spend large amounts on roaming, it is logical to purchase a local SIM card. Moreover, there are several mobile operators in the country and there are plenty to choose from. There are three main mobile giants in Liechtenstein – the most famous Mobilkom, Orange, which is loved by travelers, and the European Tele2. All of them offer non-resident travelers to purchase prepaid SIM cards or the so-called Prepaid-tarif, which do not require the conclusion of an agreement. Actually, you don’t even need a passport to buy, you only need money. SIM cards can be bought at mobile phone stores, official offices of companies or Telecom stores. SIM cards come in both regular size and micro- and nano-SIM for owners of Apple products.

In fact, all three operators are no different from each other – the quality of coverage for all of them is very good, the price for calls within the country and international calls are approximately identical. By the way, the prices are not the cheapest, a minute call to Russia will cost more than a euro. I must say that it is much cheaper to call from Liechtenstein using Skype. To do this, however, you need to connect to the Internet, and there are no problems with this in the country.
