In Andorra, mobile and landline communications are provided by one large company, STA (“Servei de Telecomunicacions d’Andorra”). This company is multifunctional and has the status of a national television company, which makes it out of competition with other telecom operators.

Purchasing a local sim card

SIM cards of STA Mobiland operator can not be bought at every corner, as is customary with us. This can only be done at the company’s office.

The cost of a SIM card is 60 euros, which are transferred to your mobile account. It makes sense to buy a local SIM card if you stay in the country for more than two or three weeks. In this case, the purchase will make economic sense.

International connection

You can call another country:

from the phone in the hotel;

landline phone;
mobile phone.

The perfection of modern telephone communication allows you to call from a payphone to any country in the world at a price much lower than from a hotel.

The most profitable option for calls to Russia and Ukraine is from the city telephone box, which accepts euro coins, and also works with phone cards.

Calls from 21.00 to 8.00 am are provided at reduced rates and will cost much less than during the daytime. Feed-in tariffs are provided in the country on weekends and public holidays.

If mobile communication is not vital for you, use payphones with cards (worth 3 and 6 euros). There are payphones almost everywhere, the quality of communication is high, and the tariffs are much cheaper than in roaming or a local operator.

at the post office;
at newsstands.
