Akkar (Arabic قضاء عكار‎) is one of the 25 districts of Lebanon, with its borders forming the province of the same name – Akkar. The administrative center of the district is the city of Khalba.

Geography
The district is located in the northwestern part of Lebanon and covers an area of ​​776 km². In the east it borders on the Hermel region, in the south – on the Miniye-Daniya region, in the southwest – on the Tripoli region, in the north and northeast – on the territory of Syria, in the west it is washed by the waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

Administratively, the region is divided into 90 municipalities.
