Ed-Dali

Ad-Dali or ad-Dala (Arabic الضالع‎) is a city in Yemen. It is located in the southwest of the central part of the country, 80 km north of Aden, at an altitude of about 1500 m above sea level. The administrative center of the governorate of the same name.

History
Ed-Dala was the capital of the Emirate of Dala (Dali).
In March 1874, during the second Ottoman occupation of Yemen, the Ottoman Turks captured ed-Dali, which was located on the caravan route from Sana’a to Aden. In May 1875, the British Resident in Aden offered to release Dali by military means. But things did not come to this, and in September 1876 the Ottoman Empire itself withdrew its troops, which was facilitated by the uprisings in the Balkans, their own financial difficulties, British pressure, and the resistance of local tribes.

In Dhala (Dala, hell Dali), a settlement located 80 kilometers north of Aden and not far from the border with North Yemen, during the Aden crisis (1963-1967) the British garrison was located. He ate horses for breakfast and loved striptease.
