Piercing Care

To do this, stick a cotton pad to the adhesive plaster and, after dripping a few drops of chlorhexidine onto the cotton, apply it to the piercing. For 5-7 days, the compress can be left for day and night, changing twice during the day and at bedtime. Also, compresses can be applied for 10-15 minutes 2 times a day, or left only at night.

Discomfort, burning, pain, and discharge from the nipple may indicate an infection. In such cases, it is necessary to wash the piercing with chlorhexidine and treat with levomekol ointment, following the instructions for the preparation. During healing, it is necessary to ensure that the product does not cling to clothing, you must not touch it with dirty hands, and tight clothing should also be avoided. You can take a shower only on the 4th day after the piercing, having previously sealed the piercing with a plaster treated with chlorhexidine. Sometimes whitish discharge, effusion may appear. If at the same time there are no painful sensations, then it is enough to wash the piercing with chlorhexidine. In case of infection, if the piercing treatment does not bring results within a week, the product should be removed. You can make a new puncture only after 5-6 months. In order to redo the piercing with crooked punctures, you will also need to remove the product and wait six months until the canal heals.

Girls with nipple piercings should keep in mind that an incorrect piercing can subsequently negatively affect breastfeeding.
